So, do a handful of WQs and after 2 days you get to switch? What's the point? Might as well remove any restriction, because this seems just too... soft. It's hardly a meaningful choice. Just another example of how Covenants shouldn't've been tied to Character Power in any way. Covenants could've been a way to make the story more immersive, but what we've seen so far, there's no real RPG in the system, it's just numbers. Spreadsheets aren't gameplay. Systems aren't Content. Maybe if Blizz focused less on making complex Borrowed Power Systems they could invest more heavily into the core Class and Spec mechanics, and on actual playable Content.
lol @ those of you who think a voluntary, unsolicited poll most regular players wouldn't know about is representative of the player base.
Hey, can anyone answer this please ? :)Are the two weakly renown quests repeatable after switching covenants (so that means covenant specific quests) ?In other words, will you be able to keep your renown at max level for at least 3 covenants by switching every 2 days ?If not, isn't it less relevant to be able to switch covenants easily if you're going to be a few covenant abilities or conduit slots behind on both your main and alt covenant ?This is the main consequence of switching covenant (either sticking to one covenant or changing every 2 days), I'm surprised to not see info/debate on this. Thanks for any reply !
People are missing the point entirely, you BETRAYED YOUR COVENANT. Just like in real life when you betray someone they aren't going to trust you again right away, you need to earn that trust back.
locked into covenants that will be tuned for weeks after launch and then its up to us to pay for their balance juggling.#pulltheripcord
don't let us freely try out different builds, playstyles, and utility! I don't play this game to think. I expect blizzard to perfectly balance everything and it is fine that you are locked into a covenant with a tedious series of hoops to jump through when you want to switch. Players should think before they jump, and they should not be playing more than one type of endgame content, so the massive imbalance between covenants in different types of content doesn't matter. Players should be going outside, taking breaks and getting some exercise. Thanks blizzard!
I chose my class. Having small passive buffs as "meaningful choice" is perfectly fine with me. None Class specific spells like Fleshcraft, Door of Shadows etc. Is fine, too. But locking class specific spells behind a roleplay decision doesn't make me enjoy my class more. In fact, those spells create sub-specialization, which doesn't sound bad, until you realize you get the very same spell for all of your specializations. These specializations are freely swappable - and their talents freely swappable in rested areas or with a tome - for a reason.Something similar was a thing in classic: Playing a priest would give you different spells depending on your race like devouring plague (undead) or Fear Ward (Dwarf). Turned out players that didn't pick Dwarf weren't happy about it and if you check class / race composition in classic you'll find alliance priests to almost always be Dwarfs.
