100 for A Pillar of the Research Community is way to high, would be much better if it was only 50 or 25.

A Pillar of the Research Community and A Djaradin Puzzle seem quite overtuned. From my attempts at doing this I only seem to get 1 progress per event - 2 if I'm lucky. There are not many items you can click and it's very limited how many spawn and of course everyone is rushing to click the items too.

Finished up the meta today, heres my tips for the achievement:

I worked on A Djaradin Puzzle first as it required a large group size to get to that stage. I got progress towards this achievement while focusing on the other one. Once I was finished with A Djaradin Puzzle, I started entering big groups, getting to the pillar stage, then leaving. By this time my own shard was either just entering or just started the pillar phase - usually with a low population, allowing you to get even 10 caps per event.
Turn WM off as you are more likely to get groups
As the stage starts (after wildlife), position yourself on top of the sharp looking rocks on the ground. When the stage starts, you will instantly be able to click one and get at least 1 cap per event.
Avoid the rocks on the outside of the boundary, across the lava if you can. Most the time these bug out and you cannot pick them up. But try if there are no other rocks around.
Create a speed set - Onyx Annulet with Obscure Pastel Stone, Harmonic Music Stone, Wind Sculpted Stone is a great quick way to get some extra speed in. See guide Making a Dragonflight Speed Gear Set and running Legacy Raids/Dungeons FAST for more.

I finished this achievement over maybe 40-50 events and the meta over approximately 100. In a raid group I usually got 3 pillar rocks handed in, but on my own shard anywhere from 5-10.(##RESPBREAK##)396##DELIM##Buuloki##DELIM##

these achievments are even worse then the ore achievment you will be lucky to even get 1 in a raid group

This achievement, along with a couple of others are currently very tedious, and almost impossible to make steady progress on. On top of that, it is really contradicting to want a large raid group to reach the required stages and then want as few people around to work on the achievement.

Yeah this definitely needs to be lowered to 50 at the most for all the reasons stated above

My first time seeing it I got 5/100, contrasted with the 150/200 magmaclaw snappers I got on the next part.

I finished it in like 2 days of moderate effort, averaging consistently ~7 pillar shards and ~5 altar shards. It is essential to do it when the content is alive, as company of other players is necessary to progress the event enough. Though this stage (32 handings) and A Djaradin Puzzle feel soloable if one could oneshot mobs.
My strategy:

Forget the raid groups, unless you want one-time achievments: The Small Disruptions, Zaqali Ritual Buster or Contaminant Cleaner for Titan event.
Have some decent dps and survivability, I personaly did the lava stages on 426 paladin tank (pony and freedom speed talents, some gear pieces with speed stat).
Be on some populated shard, wm off.
Start blasting initial stages hard; company of 2-3 random casual players at start is enough; more random people usually join later.
When you get to the stage of "clearing the wildlife" (moving to the lava area), pull everything possible from mid, tank and blast everything at one of the pillar spot to cleave the turret mob in lava (Cavern Magma Serpent - these are nasty). Also pull the mobs beyond the lava river, the shards spawn there. I personally was doing it on the NE pillar spot.
After this pull move to the opposite pillar (SW), pull everything you can, aggro 2 or 3 remaining turret mobs from lava from NW and SE pillars, do some blasting then drop combat. On the moment of the progressing to pillar stage you should be clear without combat on NE pillar.
NW and NE pillars have shards which spawn very close to them (44.18 56.12 on NE, 43.09 55.51 on NW); you should stand on one of them when the stage rolls in, that's a free instant shard. Now it is a time to use your class speed abilities, speed set, things like Potion of Gusts, dragonriding to get to new shards. By the time other players charge your NE pillar area, you should hand in 3-4 shards. Depending on how your speed boosts are and how the players are picking shards, you should orbit around NE and NW pillar, including the shards area beyond the lava river - they never bugged to me. Ignore/cc the mobs.
Important: pillar shard respawns after 30 seconds. So that's beneficial to max the yield by standing on the very first shard you picked after 30s.

I got this in less than 15 events, every time I reached the pillar stage, and the altar stage I failed to reach only once. The continued joint strategy involving the altar stones is described in my post in A Djaradin Puzzle.

after 5 weeks after patch I decided to watch my progress. And found 1/100. And tons of cries in this topic. But actually this achievement not so horrible. It takes some time but u can easy do 4-8 pieces by every run. And u dont need any raid here. Even better if almost no ppl here. 5-8 ppl around is optimal. Few first tries you usually bring 2-3 until u find optimal route. I'm usually starting from top right column. Here is 3 shards around. If no other professional farmers here, u'll take em ez in first 15 secs. After that you can try to take 2 more around but if 30+ raid here it almost impossible. And u can only get 1-2 more from right bottom pillar. So usually 3-4 if 40+ raid here, and 6-8 if small group. Also next achieve with gathering here even more ez. Near altar 4 pieces. You ez take at least 2. If no luck with other 2, you just take fly mount and fly to top of area and take any other free and bring it. When you back it would be around 18-21/24. So you back to spot where you loot FIRST piece. It will respawn in like 10-15 sec before ending. And u definitely can loot and bring it back again. And most likely 2nd nearest too, cos it also respawn. So 4-5 pieces per run as well.

Also you dont have to w8 all this hours. Just add timer to xx:32min (u can use windows "clock" app). u'll catch phase with clearing mobs around pillars. After that 1 min to progress achieve and thats it - you can logoff for next 50min. If you need 2nd achieve too - ok, u need to spend here +3min. So my feelings at 2nd day of farm: finished with alter achievement and 84/100 on this one. And I waste only around 7*17min ~= 2h of pure time. And i'll spend around 30 more min to get last 16 within 2-4 runs. Round all of this to 3hours. 3 hours is not so much for "professional achievement farmer". A bit annoying but not real pain in ass. And ofc better do this achievement during first 2 days after reset with wm off and on populated server. If you see that randoms cant push progress enough during day time - better w8 another reset. Or probably at weekends it would be not so bad too. GL with progress!
