How to do Vertical Anomaly:

Destroy the 2x Purple crystals by using Burrow & Dig spells.
Put Myrrit on the Pressure Plate.
Enter on the central buble and use the flooting bubles to fly to the Chest Floating Chest & loot Waterlogged Key.
Use the Waterlogged Key to open Lost Dive Box and complete the quest.

Players with Loamm Niffen Renown lvl 9 also can find the quest item Liquid Art / Dripping Clay Pot part of Sniffen Around / Sniffen Sage.

This is a nice puzzle except I keep forgetting to destroy the crystals first. They just aren't obviously interactable with my graphics' setting.

Quest is bugged. The crystal to the right that you're supposed to blow up is missing. It'll light up if you go over there like you're supposed to blow it up but the action 2 does nothing.

These digs are normally a fun little distraction and I find them mostly enjoyable, but this one is poorly designed. It's not clear at all what you're supposed to be doing. And even when you do figure it out, the bubble jumping is clunky.

1. Destroy the 2 crystals.
2. Enter the center bubble and swim to the top.
3. Wait for circulating bubble to pass between the other two.
4. Swin through to the far bubble.
5. Profit.

i did this today (06/27/2023) and i didn't destroy any crystals.

i simply killed the 2 or 3 mobs in there, put Myrrit down on the plate, and grabbed the key using the bubble.

maybe Blizz changed this quest...

Even if you already put Myrrit on the pressure plate before and can enter the big bubble, KEEP Myrrit on the pressure plate in order to be able to see the bubble holding the chest with the key. I was running around with Myrrit, figuring out I could float to the top of the main bubble, but no chest with key to be found. Myrrit needs to be on the pressure plate.

(As far as I'm aware, I didn't do anything with any crystals; if I did, I don't know what!)

Quest is sometimes bugged and even if you destroy the crystals you can't enter the bubble.
What worked for me is to just wait it out until the next day. The dig sites seem to reset their treasures/digs location daily and that fixes the issue.

the digs seen extra buggy this week with the patch. cant get in bubble, can't see floating key yikes. had a problem with another dig on a different character too yikes

1. Kill the floating mana worm things.
2. Have Myrrit sniff out the two crystals and destroy them.
3. Set Myrrit on the pressure plate to reveal the chest near the ceiling.
4. Enter the central bubble.
5. SWIM!
6. Swim quickly from the central bubble into the circulating bubble into the bubble with the chest near the ceiling.
7. Loot the chest near the ceiling for the key.
8. Open the central chest.

Found a mouse with a quest item by having Myrrit sniff around and a clay jar with another quest item.

I was able to do all the steps and opened the dive box, but it didn't give me credit for opening it. I've tried relogging, etc, no joy. left the dig... Myrrit lets me continue it, i still have the key, same thing, opened box, no credit... now I'm stuck on this dig since he won't give me another one, just continue this one. Blizzard needs to fix this. Every dig I've done has been buggy as all get out.

Weird. I think quest is bugged for me. Can't enter the bubble even with Myrrit standing on platform and crystals destroyed. Also, chest isn't showing in the bubbles.

This one was bugged for me today. Stepping onto the pressure plate was not making the key chest appear. I logged out and logged back in 5 minutes later and it had fixed itself.

Adding on that this appears to still be bugged today (October 17th) and seemed to break as of 10.1.7. I also cannot do any other digs as it keeps sending me into this one now for several weeks.

1. Kill the adds.
2. Use Burrow and Dig to destroy the Empowering Ley Crystals.
3. Place Myrit on the pressure plate.
4. Enter the central bubble and jump - swim to the moving bubble then swim to the bubble containing the Floating Chest.
5. Loot the Floating Chest and use the Waterlogged Key to open the Lost Dive Box.

I did it today, exited 2 times in frustration, the tips here helped, especially the pressure plate.
It is still a fuzzily written, wonky little quest. I been playing WOW a since 2005. More and more they seem to
be haphazard with directions. I have a strong love/hate thing with the caverns, have mercy!
The swimming bit still felt like 50% luck, I did get happy when I started my breast stroke though :)

I've been having trouble locating the crystals even with dragging Myrrit and having him sniff everywhere. I was able to complete it without the killing the crystals. For me, it was;

1) kill the 3 or 4 wyrms
2) put Myrrit on the pressure plate (the plate lit up when I approached and could then see the floating chest after I placed him)
3) wait for the moving bubble to come around and jump up into it
4) swim with the bubble until it got next to the bubble with the floating chest and then click the floating chest and loot the waterlogged key
5) click the main chest and loot
6) grab Myrrit and exit

Here's what I did.

I killed the wyrms inside the main bubble.
I put Myritt on the pressure plate.
I went inside the bubble where the main treasure chest is.
I jumped up and swam to the top of that bubble.
Waited for the moving bubble to come my way.
Jumped into the moving bubble.
Waited until it got to the other treasure chest (inside the stationary bubble).
Went into the stationary bubble, looted the key.
Went back into main bubble, looted main treasure chest.

Honestly, IDK if Myritt being on the pressure plate was even necessary. /shrug
