FYI this quest appears to be bugged on live, at least when you're Valdrakken Accord Renown 12. Quest shows up on the questgiver but on accepting it doesn't show in quest log, which shows "Reach Renown 19 with the Valdrakken Accord to continue the story." Maybe the items drop in mythic but they didn't seem to drop for me in heroic at least, presumably because the quest isn't showing in my log.

The 10 Ingots are dropped by the first boss, Watcher Irideus. You loot 10x ingots on his corpse. No need to look around for nodes.
Doable on Heroic so I assume normal as well.

If you are loot locked to Mythic 0 the quest items won't drop as needed, FYI. Heroic works though.

The ingots be looted from the boss on normal difficulty too.

Hi all

I present You Storyline The Silver Purpose which is part of Achievement Friend of the Dragon Isles. To unlock This Storyline You need to have Renown Level 12 with Valdrakken Accord.

Quests in order I done:

1. Ally of Dragons - Quest from Herald Flaps will appear when You will reach Renown Level 12 with Valdrakken Accord. Go to see Alexstrasza at the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken.
2. The Gift of Silver - Speak with Alexstrasza the Life-Binder conversation will start after collect Silver Scale.
3. The Legacy of Tyrhold - Fly to 58.15 58.74 and place Silver Scale then press on console.
4. The Magic Within - Use 6 console: /way 57.87 55.56 /way 58.33 57.75 /way 58.32 59.57 /way 59.85 56.37 /way 59.85 61.18 /way 57.85 61.93, then back to NPC and place Silver Scale.
5. A Spark of Discovery - Speak with Titan Spark and follow it killing all mobs in way.
6. Memories of the Past - First speak with Nozdormu Conversation and memories will start after finish speak with NPC one by one from left starting. When You finish this quest just wait.
7. Parting Instructions - Place the Silver Scale at the forge in Tyrhold 60.51 58.74 then press on Forge Console.
8. Hard Lock Life - Get 2 items ( This 2 mobs have long rfespawn time - just wait for them ):
- Primary Security Disc drop from Maiden of Diligence /way 57.65 63.63
- Secondary Security Disc drop from Maiden of Patience /way 57.91 53.65
Use Tyrhold Conduit on elite if need it :) is on extra bar. when you finish quest just wait.
9. Halls of Infusion: An Infusion of Materials - You need to go to Dungeon Halls of Infusion ( I go LFG normal or HC and was wait few min ) and do two things:
- 10xAncient Titansteel Ingot - All drop Watcher Irideus 1st boss.
- Slay last boss Primal Tsunami.
10. The Silver Purpose - First place Ingots on front side of forge. then activate Left and Right Forge Console Video will start. This Quest is finishing Storyline.

Hubbin and I are both about to leave WOW after 18 years of playing and loving it! Having to do dungeons may be our deciding factor folks! We HATE doing them thx to jerks who run them with elitist mentality…when the majority are not there to be great, but to learn and get items necessary to carry on…We play for fun, not perfection and I personally have been kicked afew times for getting lost in a dungeon I haven’t been in before…we prefer to quest and enjoy! That takes the fun out of WOW, sadly! We are seriously considering not renewing because of this very issue! We can’t progress in campaign chapters without dungeons🤬

Like others, I do not like when Dungeons, Raids or PVP are forced on me. So far at least 4 of my friends and my wife have stopped playing due to this. And I have all but stopped playing also. I just hope that they stop this soon or I am afraid I will be quieting also.

For Normal and Heroic, most people just want to try it out or are just campaigning.... I know I've never kicked anyone in a Heroic or Normal level dungeon when I've tanked. I have been kicked (deserved and undeserved) on my Hunter.... Those spray shots really should be illegal in dugeons and raids ;) ....

You're forced to run ONE fairly easy instance to complete one quest in a chain of *hundreds*.
Wow, that's really a reason to ragequit.

Wowhead forgot to add the "Type" parameter (Dungeon) for this quest. Type always is the next line right after the level requirement parameter. Is there a way to get it added?

Weird how Blizzard INSIST that you must do dungeons to progress. Sometimes dungeons are fun, but there's an awful lot of (as said elsewhere) "elitist jerks" who ruin the that experience.

I don't play WoW for stress of this type, and it totally puts me off playing that way. No doubt (Having done it and experienced it) sometimes playing with a team of friends can be a lot of fun. But.. not when it's forced down your craw.

When will Blizzard listen?

FWIW I've played WOW (as a paying customer) since before the EU servers existed.

Once upon a time (say, original BC, the first group finder expansion iirc), dungeon PUGs were not a death race experience. But they did have lots of toxic players, particularly tanks and healers, who've always been a pampered class. I find the mythic+ style of racing through every mob your tank can aggro at once to be No Fun At All. The last time I ran HoI (for two weekly quests and the Spark of Ingenuity one), the healer kept saying she didn't want to be there because she felt uncomfortable healing a Heroic instance — but the tank just kept on pulling everything in sight, and we deepsers kept on dying. And dying. But we did finish the instance, so I can't complain, right?

Just wish I'd had this quest then, too, so I could have done the quadfecta in one go.

It seems the new content patch has made this post irrelevant, so I might as well remove it.

to anyone wondering why they can't turn this Quest in after they were able to get it from Tyr: (e.g. to get Tyr's Memory)
(which would be RELEVANT INFORMATION TO/ABOUT THIS QUEST for a change)

It's because you can do all this below level 70, but the phase Tyr is in for you to bring him the ingots etc. is the one which leads to raiding the vault of the incarnates

so basically you will have to turn 70 (gz, if you were SO CLOSE on 69 and assumed this would bring you over the edge- ... climax ruined..)

Accept the stuff on Valdrakken's "rooftop" which is provided by Alextrazsa and sending you to Tyrhold.

Once you slew that dragon and the pillar with the ruby in it is standing there you will be able to see that this "new Tyr" will accept your quest.

You accept a Quest with the name of Aspect Power.

(all of this leads to the "kill Razageth" (Raid :o - that's even "more" than just a dungeon)
Questline which grants you a "fast" primal Infusion, 30 primal chaos, and 1,5k rep Valdrakken)

Are asked to destroy_or_kill Ezrigeth (an earth-clump-y Dragon.. so if your creed says that the elements lived you did not only destroy that one but you killed them.. or whatnot)

Only then, it is, when you have "Red Dawn" in your Quest log,

that this "Pole" Pillar with the Dragon Wings and the Ruby will be there (and I wondered how those wings never moved a bit - "spread" or "opened" after activation .. but woulda been too cheesy in the end? that "mantling gesture" after all feels more protective, and there are still baddies in the area, do don't just spread your wings yet, red)

So if you made the area become -that- .. you are in the Phase in which you can turn in "Halls of Infusion: An Infusion of Materials"

(short version.. I could now edit it and add the corresponding stuff - add links to all the items, quests and npcs.. , but all this dungeon talk around here which is less relevant to the "USP" of this quest made me bamboozle this altogether - get over that please - and I hope relevant informations will make way here.. even dbad jokes about dragons, rubies, earth elemental dragons, aspects.. would make more sense than all this - guys, this is such a short quest line around Tyrhold leading to 2500 reputation, what "were you expecting"? others just do this along with the not-skipped primal infusion quest line in order to do someting useful on the way to 70 (besides e.g. Arena Questline in Ohnahran plains or all the stuff leading to the Obsidian Citadel - or whatever specific faction you wanted to mingle with - it's not even that dungeons took half an hour or more as they did nearly 2 decades ago)

Forced raids are worse.

There just aren't that many days that I have to sit in front of World of Warcraft for six hours repeating the same content over and over.

Quests like these ALWAYS suck, because we've been doing every part of a quest chain that's designed to be soloed, but suddenly are force to do something requiring a group to complete it.
You could just have easily made the dungeon instanced with some npcs and have the boss there made killable without dungeon loot but just designed to be a quest npc, like in a scenario.
But no, blizzard has to repeat its mistakes like always.

I don't know if this will help anyone but I just soloed this normal on my Havoc DH ilvl 446. I got some gear from Emerald Dream and upgraded a bit. I don't do instances usually unless it's older stuff that I can solo. I really hate the forced instances.

You can do this quest through the Follower's Dungeons, instead of having to gruop up with actual players !

I agree that forced group content to accomplish campaign or side quests is a buzz kill and should be removed from WoW, forcing players to PUG or ask their guilds/friends to help complete a chain of quests they may have already done weeks or months ago only aggravates players, especially elitists who expect fast runs and skipping everything that quests generally require to be done because they want the loot for gear upgrades or such.

Now, this quest can be done easily with the new Follower Dungeon in the Dungeon Finder Selection. The 10 Ancient Titansteel Ingots drop from the First boss, Watcher Irideus and then you just have to make your way to the final boss, the Primal Tsunami. I did this dungeon a few days ago when I discovered I could finish my remaining Fourth Challenge of Tyr to get another Ingenuity Spark. Thanks Blizzard for this tool. Maybe you (Blizzard) will also realize that you need something similar for Raids and (yuck, chough, choke, spew...) PvP junk.

Remove the forced group content or make NPC groups we can use to explore at our leisure.

In my world, MMORPG's mean competition for the same resources or quest objectives, it never has meant forced group play.

Description

<The image of Tyr speaks again.> You have reactivated the forge. The next task will not be as simple. Transcribed within the scale are schematics for something I require you to forge. I have entrusted one of my watchers, Irideus, with the necessary materials for this task. They are of special origin, and only few of them are left in existence. Seek Irideus within the Halls of Infusion, where I hope his careful watch has kept the facility operating in an orderly fashion.
