Seems to be similar to the one in Bastion that rotates targets. You need to talk to Gurgthock in the hut above to start the fight. If another player has already started a fight, you will need to wait until it's done or join fight to get some gold and xp. Once yours is done, you can turn in and do another one. Keep in mind that if there are more players there, they will also be "competing" to get their chosen quests done, so mount and race to Gurgthock.

I was unable to start this quest while solo. Joining a group allowed for me to start the event. You have to speak to the goblin NPC to start the event.

Quest is bugged out. Can't talk to Gurgthock to start the quest. Tried it in a group and solo, tried abandoning and picking up the quest again. Even tried just going away for an hour or so and coming back, nothing.

This is of course a duplicate (using the same NPC's) as the arena in Zul'drak in Northrend/Wotlk. The prize at the end is also the same, a weapon.

But, given today's developers, it is buggier then the wotlk version.

You can use the lfg icon next to the quest to join a group. But I don't think you have to actually be in the group as long as you have the quest. So if you see a group doing it and can get the quest I think you can just partake.

You sometimes have to turn in the quest and take the next one, sometimes it actually seems to auto proceed. No idea why.

You also have the problem that someone can hijack it and get a boss they need instead of what your group needs.

For anyone having problem with weekly quest, the way I do it is that I stick around and wait someone who is doing quest chain and one of them is also countable toward weekly.

Another way to do it is to group up with other people and enter phase where you can talk to him, make sure you join other people groups and don't invite people to yours.

Very Important Tip - if You see that many people are around Gurgthock /way 53.15 37.29, that can put you in trable xD problem is that only one Mob can be call in time. Best way is to wait next to NPC Gurgthock and when You will see that battle is finish fast speak with wim to start Yor mob. That very important due to that all people can be on deferent stage of quest or they want to do Elite WQ but You want Quest. You jsut need to be fast.

It seems like some people can talk to the goblin and start the quest. I myself wasn't able to talk to him but I started joining random groups, some of them couldn't talk to him either but after 3-4 different groups that I switched, I joined one that someone could talk to him and spawned the boss.

I was able to talk to Gurgthock to start the fight by abandoning the quest and reaccepting it.

Wasn't able to start this quest for a while. After switching from warmode off to warmode on it worked.

I found a solution to the bug. If you are not able to interact with the goblin after taking the quest, find a group in LFG that is doing some of the further steps of this questline. Once the group defeats a quest NPC, you will be able to interact with the goblin to make the NPC you need to appear.

Okay I know it sounds scary for people not willing to World PvP. But here was what I did to fix it for my. And what I have discovered since.

I like many other could accept the quest but not start an encounter. I tried to log out an in again, Reload, reaccepting the quest. Then I remembered in Tanaris in "Gadgetzan" there is a Arana too, and I had some problems there too.
It worked by enable Warmode. and then accept the quest. So back to Orgimmer enable warmode back to quest giver again.

When I got over there one was doing the WQ and by that I had read that go into combat with a mob would fix the bug. and it did. I have now made the quest chain. and think I can start encounters as long I have the WQ. I tried to unsync with one but could not start the encounter I think the biggest help for people to get the quest done is to mass report Blizzard so thay get tired of bug requests.

Thanks for contacting me, I understand that you are not able to complete "The Field of Ferocity: Terror of the Swamp!" I'll be happy to look into this for you.

There is no known bug with this quest, but there may be some restrictions on progressing in it. Specifically if someone is currently fighting one of the available bosses - which they can summon as part of the basic questline - then you will have to wait until the fight is completed and the NPC is ready to summon the next opponent.

I'm sorry to say that Customer Support is not able to clear the NPC and make Gurgthock talk to you. Please check back when they are currently not engaged."

two fixes for this hot mess-
1. Not sequential;
2. Stop having the last player to request a fight just before it begins, name it. Have the first person after the last fight name the next fight.

Hey, if the Dreamsurge is in Ohn'ahran Plains, and you see this icon Dreamsurge Magpies in your buffs... DON'T start the questline, you're screwing over other players' time and money. You should have gotten it out of the way beforehand when a different buff was present.
What's worse is each quest has a chance to bug it out, making Gurgthock uninteractable which locks everyone out from doing any of the quests for gold.

Welcome one and all to the Fields of Ferocity! While this sparring field is used for traditional events, the centaurs have graciously allowed me to set up shop off-season.
