When I accepted the quest, I swooped around without an objective. So I left the vehicle and had to hop on it again for the quest to give credit. Then on it went smoothly. Just a heads up.

1st 2 steps out of this quest pretty self-explanatory BUT

Reach to the Top of the hill IS NOT.

It goes without saying that

pay attention to your slime's health
Kill the gnolls
Heal yourself
Kill that BIG slime
BEFORE you go to the top of the hill.

Dont' be like me and follow the instructions.

If you're struggling with this because there are no objective markers, make sure you mount your slime directly. Don't mount by talking to the Monarch Gnoll. The third time I tried, I mounted the slime directly and all the totems & map markers popped. Could have been a coincidence, but worth trying.

I asked the gnoll to mount up on their steed, but that doesn't update the quest, you gotta just click on the slime and hope the quest updates.

I killed the slime elite and couldnt loot it.. But i found out you can use loot-a -rang while riding the slime! :D (i use it with a keybind)

as in beta, the slime doesn't always go in the direction youre headed. Same for map display and totem display - first time today I was charging around trying to figure out where I was supposed to go and ended up outside quest area, DM. Remounted and this time first totem is marked on map and right in front of me.

Quests in order I done:

1a. By Royal Decree - Quest start from Gnoll Mon-Ark 16.22 20.89, Slay 8 Brackenhide Warriorand 4 Brackenhide Shaman
1b. Rot Rancher - Collect 20 Smelly Ooze drop from Errant Rot but is good to open Rotting Sap You can find even 5.
3. Keys to the Kingdom - First pick up Sticky Gnoll Key is on ground small next to traps /way 13.82 21.90 the go inside bulding 14.57 20.50 open Royal Coffers to get Gnoll "Lances". then move 15.74 19.23
4. Making a Mountain Out of a Gnoll Hill - Jump on Purified Slime and using skill 1 destroy 3 totems /way 15.92 19.67 /way 15.54 20.69 /way 13.86 20.85, then move to exit you can skip all mobs /way 12.88 21.93 Exit.
5. One Bad Apple - get to cave /way 12.91 22.09, then you will needt open cage from left kill mob then middle cage kill mob then on last cage speak with mob then pull Root to get Root of Decay Slay him. That will finish storyline.

The purified slime is an elite that you can kill with the vehicle, and has a "drop" but you can't loot unless you get out of the vehicle and then the loot / mob re-phases so you don't get the loot anyway. Oroboros drop.

Use the slime mount to begin, NOT the NPC option. I figured this out the hard way after trying 3 times and it wasn't working.
