How to do Seed of a Thought:

buy a seed from Seed Merchant Daybreak (Temporal Leaf Seeds, Wild Nightbloom Seeds or Wildseed Root Grain Seeds)
use your seed on Wildseed of Regrowth
return the quest

If right clicking on the seed to purchase doesn't work, left click on a seed you want to purchase and place it in your bag

For whatever reason this wasn't working for me today. Probably needs to be done on a fresh plot. Kinda annoying. Guess I will wait a few days now.

For everyone confused like me:

You do NOT use a catalyst like Wildseed Root Grain on the little catalyst plots to complete this quest.
You use a catalyst SEED like Wildseed Root Grain Seeds on the actual fat seed pod (an empty one) to complete it.
You just buy this seed from the vendor Seed Merchant Daybreak standing right next to the quest NPC inside the conservatory.

At Tier 1, we have access to only 2 Wildseeds of Regrowth. At Tier 2, a 3rd Wildseed spawns (the middle). The middle wild seed IS the one to complete Seed of a Thought. It's a little tricky because we don't get the wheel when you complete the quest, just right click on the seed you bought from Seed Trader.

If you don't want to have one of your Wildseed of Regrowths taken of your rotation for a few days to grow a catalyst, you can start using the Wildseed Root Grain Seeds then cancel the cast. For whatever reason, you'll still get the credit.

My seed pods are full and the garden says dormant so I am not sure they are growing. Not sure I will be able to complete this quest. Has anyone had this happen?

Acquire a seed and plant it within a wildseed.

Description

Within wildseeds, spirits slumber and grow. But so too can catalysts, when seeds take the place of spirits. Seed Merchant Daybreak trades in such seeds. She can supply you with the ones you seek. Choose one to plant within a wildseed. The forest holds its breath and awaits your choice.
