Leveling my second and third characters after starting WoW in TBC was by far the best time I've had. By that point I had a fairly good understanding of the game, and how to level, which allowed me to pay more attention to my surroundings, and all the effort that went into the game. During that time the game reminded me of something like LotR(the books, not the game), in the sense that I was surrounded by a new world with endless possibilities. While I still enjoy WoW, it no longer gives me that feeling, and I miss it.
I have a lot of great memories of WoW, but the one that really sticks out in my mind right now is teaming up with two of my guild mates (a paladin and a warlock) and just power leveling my shaman from 40 to 80 back in Wrath in three weeks. To some people, that's probably pretty slow, but we cleared out all the quests at a breakneck speed a few hours a day in two Outlands zones (Hellfire & Zangarmarsh) and 3.5 Northrend zones (Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Grizzly Hills and part of Sholazar Basin), spending all the time from 40-60+ just queued up in endless AV battles during an AV weekend. The slaughter was magnificent and the experience amazing! It was exhausting and I didn't get to read many of the quests, but I had loads of fun.
Back in vanilla, i had just joined a guild and we were attempting the new raids and trying to progress in raid content. Though finally downing rag and getting past vael, the best moment came from our first down of the classic 40 man onyxia. We had died many times, and i shall always remember dotting up ony as much as possible as my holy priest (yea, back then, shadow priest and disc priest werent viable in raids at all) and running out of deep breaths. Much of our raid had died and we got her down to about 5% and we were still going with about 5 people left. then came the deep breath which killed another 3, and there was only the tank and a pally healer left. - ony was down to 1% and the tank died - our hopes were shattered but the pally was still up on vent shouting - "i got this!" and bubbled and ended ony with a throwing hammer. the vent EXPLODED and everyone was at an emotional high after tryin to down this epic dragon for some 2 weeks and a 20 mins fight - one of our first boss downs. Best moment indeed - we had claimed ony's head as a reward!
In more recent favorite memory. There I was ready to attack Stormwind with a bunch of my allies to rob the bank, or at least hold it hostage for a few minutes. I swoop down onto a tower over looking the bank and the attack order is given. Though a Draenei girl flies down and waves and blows me a kiss, being the lady's man that I am I give a good little flirt before she flies off. I turn around to see my comrades getting slaughtered at the bank. Was she a distraction.. or a saving angel.Fun stuff when random things happen.
My favorite WoW moment happened when I got my first title in Vanilla. PvP in WoW has always brought new levels of entertainment and skill to the table like no other game ever has. You have to read your opponent and react differently to every scenario. The title was only "Private <Insert Name Here>" but it made me feel like I was part of something big, and that feeling never went away, even after gaining bigger and better titles.
I've posted this before as the achievement I was proudest of, but it's also my favorite memory. It was doing the Veteran of the Shifting Sands quest chain, by far. Nothing else comes even close to how proud I am to have completed this amazing undertaking, and doing it basically solo. As the Shattering approached and the world was coming to an end, I rushed to complete this amazingly epic quest chain before it disappeared forever into the Twisting Nether. I had one week left until doomsday and much to do. Luckily, I was already revered with the Brood of Nozdormu, and I'd just retrieved Broodlord Lashlayer's head the week before (you need to run Blackwing Lair at least twice for the chain), but most of the journey still laid ahead. The green scepter piece was easy enough, although I had a little trouble taking down the corrupt dragon Eranikus, mainly due to bugs. The red piece I almost didn't complete because I needed to kill Nefarian Nefarian within 5 hours after the second boss, and my group broke up midway. And I obviously couldn't wait to try again the following week. But I gathered a couple allies and we downed him with 45 minutes to spare. The blue piece is easily the longest and most incredible stretch: killing Ragnaros, slaying Onyxia, infiltrating the Stormwind library, fighting an evil scientist, and making your way to a remote pirate island off the coast of Tanaris. But the hardest part was obtaining 10 Elementium Ingots. That's what took most of the week. I only got a couple of them in my BWL run, so I spent the whole week annoyingly spamming trade chat for them. I spent anywhere between 400 and 4000 gold a piece on them. But eventually I gathered them up, built my buoy and slayed the giant shark, Maws. At last, I took all three scepter shard to Anachronos, where he recombined them and I received my prized The Scepter of the Shifting Sands, which I took to Ahn'Qiraj to claim my prize. When the Shattering occurred I was awarded this Feat of Strength. It's definitely my favorite WoW memory.
My favorite moment in wow was when eggbert was bugged for a short amount of time in Karazhan. Not only did we have the "I will not move during Flame Wreath" video going, but then Eggbert decides to spazz out and agrro some shades up the stairway from us. Wiped us but was on of the best wipes ever.Another memory that stands out for me was the day that me and a guildie let our tank die every single pull in BT. He had said something sexist against us girls, and his two top healers of course were females. Every. Single. Pull. He died. We would let him die at the last second on bosses. He learned his lesson :P
MY favorite was first hitting level 70 and my first karahzhan raid, i went to school the next day and told my friend i hit 70 and did karazhan and hes like no way
My favorite memory in wow would be running zul'gurub raid.Venoxis bugged out on us so we made a ticket for a gm.While venox was standing in the pathway and we all were "chilling" with venoxis and having great fun on vent.Gave us some pretty nice screenshots as well.Later in that same raid mandokir dropped his mount and i got it cause i had been saving up all my dkp just in case it would drop, I didn't have the epic riding skill yet, but at this time that just came with the mount so i saved myself a lot of gold. That entire raid that day is one of my most favorite memory's to wow.Hanging out having fun with friends, and getting a nice raptor in the end.Thinking back a lot has changed.Epic riding was expensive back then, so were the mounts. We used DKP to bid on items in raidsNow we just roll and you can practically get riding skills for a button and some cookies.
