I think my favourite moment in wow was the first night I went raiding with my (then) new guild. We cleared TOC and only at the end did I realize that no one had been called out, belittled or raged at the entire night. It felt great and what a change from pugging! We all pushed each other and were accountable for improving our effort from attempt to attempt, but it was a team effort and the comraderie was more important than the sparkly lewtz.
My best memories of wow are those of finding groups back in TBC to run some heroics, going down to the summoning stones to get the lazy ones there, sometimes only to find that one of them didn't have the key to enter heroics, back to shat to find someone else and when we did we would get ganked by some horde party fight for the entrance for 5 or 10 minutes and finally enter the dungeon to get some badges. Or those amazing Karazhan runs that took like a whole week to finish. The best ones are probably from TBC but i'll never forget my first Lich King kill, back then i didn't have a guild so it was really hard to get a pug going, even with the buff at the time, we got to last phase and when he was about to go down someone in vent started playing some epic battle music that was like a shot of adrenaline to the whole raid, you could feel the Bloodlust on yourself! it was amazing... oh well, that's my few memories hope i win ^_^PiRaNiA !Edit: I just noticed the contest ends 2 days before my birthday, would be a perfect gift to have :D
My absolute favorite memory is the first time I killed Nefarian, back in the days of vanilla WoW. He had yet to be killed on my server and we knew that an alliance guild that was kind of our rivals was probably fighting him at the same time. Last try before calling it a night went pretty well at first. That is untill the tank messed up a bit and half the raid ended up fried. Luckily all the bone constructs were dead, so the remaining dps just had to nuke like mad and hope for the best. When he finally fell, the cheering was insanly loud on VT. Apparntly some people woke up parts of their family. Getting the realm first kill on this guy was insanly fun, and his last words - "This cannot be! I am the Master here! You mortals are nothing to my kind! DO YOU HEAR? NOTHING!" - will always be with me. Ah, miss those good old times.

My favorite memory from WoW (so far) is being part of my guild's first Putricide kill. I am an alternate sometimes, when I get off work early enough, so it was only my 2nd time in ICC. I saw my guildies in ICC every Friday and Saturday when I logged in so I guess I just assumed that they were clearing it. When we pushed through the first 5 bosses - lots of drops for my undergeared mage - and were reviewing the strat, all I could think of was "Don't let the blobs target me" . So we went in, wiped 2 or 3 times, went back over the strat, and then downed him. I didn't realize why vent was going crazy until I saw all the yellow text on the screen. We rode that to our first Valithria and Blood Prince Council kills that night.
My favorite memory would have to be the first time i used my Swift Gray Ram. We were pretty far into The Burning Crusade, and i had just reached level 60 when i bought it! I felt amazing riding through Zangarmash on that fast Ram, the world felt awesome at that time. Bear in mind i was level 64 when i purchased Epic Riding skill (at that time it WAS that serious), so you're getting the noob feeling i felt! :DGood old times... :')
One if my memorable moments was when I joined my first raiding guild. When I applied, they asked me what are my ambitions in-game. I answered, among other things, "Kill the Lich King!". After I'm accepted and invited, 5 minutes later I'm asked to come kill the Lich King(as a trial). After maybe 3 attempts we down him... One of my long term ambitions was done in 1-2 hours in this new guild :)
My fondest memory of WoW was killing Arthas for the first time after being screwed out of the achievement -twice- by raid groups I'd pugged with who had promised me the kill. My husband was getting ready for work, it was 5 AM, and I had laser-like focus on stabbing the flaming shiznit out of Arthas' dead ass. Since my husband was awake, I had no problem at all squealing with joy when we got to 10%, died, and got that amazing line "Terenas Menethil would like to resurrect you." I wore my Kingslayer title with pride for weeks after that. It was a -huge- deal to me, because it was an integral part of my character's story. I'm a roleplayer, and Arthas had murdered my character's parents. It was vengeance, and it gave her closure.
I remember logging in on my first character ever way back when the game first launched. It was a dwarven hunter. I couldn't wrap my brain around the seemingly endless world around me, and I remember hearing all kinds of crazy stuff in both guild chat (I was lucky enough to have a friend in a well established guild) and general up in Ironforge. All these cryptic sayings like "Tribute Run," "Baron Run," and "MC Attunement," were casually discussed as though they were a second language. The whole game was brand new, and I would love to recapture that feeling again. Even the first recipe I picked up, Beer Basted Boar Ribs, in all of its simplicity today, felt like something that just belonged (and delicious).
My favorite memory is when I was leveling a Paladin mid-way through Classic. There are a few battles that stand out in my mind, but the overall experience leveling beside a good friend and fighting off higher level players together was an epic experience when considering the journey from 1 to 60.There were a number of battles against level 60's either alone or helping their friends, and seeing us as being at the disadvantage they thought they would roll over us fairly easily. We stood our ground and showed them what we were capable of, which meant more than one bruised level 60 ego.One fight in particular was a 60 Shaman helping a 50 mage in Un'goro. My friend and I were both 55, on our way out of the zone. The fight lasted 10 minutes with multiple graveyard runs by the enemy mage and my friend as I did my best to hold up against the shaman 5 levels above us all. In the end, we were able to do enough damage to whittle the shaman down while the mage was running back from the graveyard and emerged victorious. I wish I had a PC capable of frapsing the encounter way back when it happened.
My Favourite Memory? There are so many, but my strongest is my first. My Blood Elf Paladin spawning on Sunstrider Isle, I was totally new to the game & had exactly NO idea about anything, & it was WONDERFUL.over the last 2 years+ I've learnt & seen so much about the game, including the sites to go to for the latest news etc.But I couldn't have been nearly as succesful in my time as a Paladin, a Raider, an Alchemist, a Moonkin, or a Hunter with an incredible array of rare & exotic pets without WoWHeads near-bottomless Database.Happy 5th WoWhead.
What is your favorite memory from World of Warcraft and why?Well, i was farming the Ravenlord for almost 6 months(during start of wotlk, soloing was hard back then). I wanted to give up but a really good friend of mine persuaded me to do it atleast once more. I was talking on vent with a bunch of guildies when I noticed it dropped for once. My holy quest was finnaly done, as a reward for my friend i continued to help him with the mount (took 'only' 23 tries after my drop).Besides that another good time was killing LK for the first time, after weeks of wiping we went for a last try that night. the screams in the ventrilo of the guild was priceless (hard to stay silent when everyone else is sleeping at 3 in the morning). Those 2 moments are my finest moments in WoW
I would have to say that my best memory in World of Warcraft was my first guild raid. I had worked hard to get my first toon, a Blood Elf Paladin, to level 70. I got the best gear I could afford, gemed and enchanted according to the raid requirements of the guild. I was ready to go! The raid for the week was Karazhan...sweet - I had heard all about it - I wanted in a raid group forever, and now I had my chance. It happened to be during the Hallows Eve holiday, and there was the special holiday boss. We we using the need/greed loot system and the boss happened to be my loot...I got my first special pet from that boss - the Vampiric Batling! It was so kewl - just that one little pet solidified my love for raids. I now have numerous toons (two of which I use to raid - yes, the Paladin is one of them) - I think my love for the game as a whole has only increased since that time.
My favorite memory has to be when I got the Deathcharger on one of my alts. I had killed the Baron(in both versions) maybe 200-250 times on my main but never saw it drop, or even the sword. I decided to go run it a couple of times on my human DK while waiting on some friends to log on and go do some heroics. The first run dropped the sword, and I was kinda happy about that, so I went ahead and did it again and there it was, the Deathcharger's Reins. And this was only the second or third time running it on her.The day before that my sister had gotten the White Hawkstrider on her draenei priest and one of our friends had gotten the Sea Turtle on his dwarf hunter. It was a really lucky week for that guild.
