Blue eyes are for NPCs people, not for players, trust me.They're adding a "blind" option for all races, which includes a single blind eye. You can see we get a right or left blind eye for green and gold eyes, not for the blue ones, ergo, no blue eyes for players. Those are for the high elf NPCs that already exist in the game.
is there a pre-scheduled order for how these customization option posts will be going up? looking forward to the troll and gnome onesand the human one lol
If you think the racism is bad now, wait until people get the human options and see what "creative" names and comments people come up with in-game.The fact is that Blizzard doesn't care about the lore people. It went out the window with WoD. They are more interested in inclusion than the integrity of the lore. They retcon on whim these days. No one should be surprised.
Blue eyes are unofficial, just the dataminer's best guess. None of the textures in the files are actually linked to a particular race yet, and these aren't even necessarily blood elf eyes - could be worgen, draenei, night elves, NPC high elves, we have no actual confirmation of high elves.Even if blood elves do get blue eyes, it really doesn't matter. It's just an extra option for the people who want it, and if that makes or breaks the entire game for you, I'm not sure what kind of enjoyment you're getting out of WoW, anyways. Also, if you dislike black blood elves, you are racist. Yes, you. There is literally no explanation otherwise for being mad about four dark skin options. Seriously, no one is even making you play a dark skinned elf, and if the idea of seeing dark skin tones (and eastern Asian features, etc.) in your fantasy game makes you upset, please re-evaluate your own biases. If your lore doesn't accommodate for a race with realistic skin tones to have darker colors, then it's racist lore, and deserves to be retconned. Stop assuming the default is "white." Also, dark skin colors for humans have been in the game since 2004, so clearly many of you never even bothered looking that far down the spectrum when making your characters...Anyways, my Horde high elf is extremely excited to finally get the right eye color.

yknow they better give belf dudes actual facial hair. still won't play one but it'll look less ugly when i accidentally click on belf briefly whenever i make a new alt
Omg the comment section here is very, very sad. I do understand that elves in warcraft aren't made to be "brown" shades of skin but blue/purple. That if they want to play a character that represent them they should play human, instead of a fantasy race. I didn't choose to play à Nightborne because I'm blue. But at the same time, Black people and Asian people lack so much of representation in video games and medias in général (in occidental countries). Giving them choices and options is actually a really progressive and cool move of blizzard. and appart from human, Blood elves are the race that looks the most like human on the Horde. Why would it be a problem to see other player choosing a darker skin colour ? mind your own business and don't be racist. Also I really, really appreciate the fact we will be able to have blue eyes, especially for my old mage and Hunter.
wow. only time I thought make me an alliance character was because worgens. I mean, they are freaking werewolves, a huge change against horde races and to be honest, a really hordish style.I'm not a lore freak so Im guiding myself just for the look. even as I always thought that a night elf mage was wrong as could be a taureen rogue or a undead paladin, yet, undead of the light tells me that lore can be changed according blizzard need$$and we have a chunk of alliance childs (yeah, they must be pre puber childs) yelling that they will unsubscribe and a chunk of players making jokes about the gruesome alliance population changing to horde.....JUST BECAUSE A FREAKING BLUE EYES?I was hoping for purple/green/pink hair for my belf demon hunter, I hope they just look actual metal chicks or check manic panic hair dyes, but its ok, ill wait. if I unsubscribe will be for a more meaning detal than an eye color. I will stop here and say nothing about skin color to avoid political flame wars. but about the eyes, please, grow ups kids.
