I'm glad Blizz is continuing this system. It was a nice way to get some AP on alts and I assume it'll be a way to get Azerite in BFA.
tbh i hope this time they give us combat bars for them (so we can control them better like if they are attacking something they arent ment to or "dismiss" function). i also hope its not going to "gate" content but my gutt says it will happen again. and maybe not so darn grindy
All of you saying it was a good system - you had to have gone out and farmed resources and while you are doing that, you could have simply DONE quests and avoided this entire system - you had to do that, period, so, why not just make these quests. its a waste of your time.
Ugh, not again... Didn't they have enough feedback 5 years ago to move away from the mission table mini-game. It's the lamest part of the game. Fishing and archeology are more enjoyable. Fml
I fcking love the mission and followers, dont know why so much hate about them
Let me make some maths, when a world boss's reward is gold you'll get from 600 -1000 gold, the same applies to elite world quests. On the other hand when you do an elite world quest that awards you resources (specially in the broken shore) you'll get from 700 - 1000 resources which translated to gold from table missions gives you over 3000 gold when it's an expensive mission that costs you 500 resources, but considering that usually for each expensive mission you'll also have at least one mission that costs from 100 to 300 resources, which can easily double the gold you obtain. And I'm not even considering the world quests that award you up to 10 blood of Sargeras, so summarizing waste of time is looking for world quests that award you gold. As I said in a previous post, I understand that some people just don't like it but don't try to fool us saying that the system is worthless and it's better to go and just do quests.
Noooo! Not this again. Blizzad is trying to kill alts once again...
I never found the follower missions to be a pain. I enjoy being able to continue earning gold or knocking out quests while I am away from home. For those who have to log on to their computer for legion class hall table, get a smartphone already. And I have 5 toons with all of their followers. Everyone needs to quit asking for easy solutions to every requirement for alts. At least the catch-up for your actual character is good. But I agree that some things should still remain a grind. If you want it bad enough, you will do it. If you are complaining, you don’t want it bad enough.
YES! I love the Mission table - a better catch-up for alts would be appreciated. For those that do not like it don't do it. I don't like PVP so I don't do it. Avoid the mission tables like I avoid the PVP tab for queuing.Peterc
We're supposed to be demoted, Perc. Our toons need to be demoted.
It's hilarious how people get p%#$@ off when Blizz adds things they don't enjoy engaging, like this one. You guys are playing the biggest MMORPG ever! Loads of things to do. You don't like missions? That's perfectly fine, so don't go for it!I myself dislike PvP (mostly because I'm too bad for it, like REALLY BAD), so what I do? Do I complain about Blizz developing new PvP content? Do I go crazy when they release a new BG (as they just did) and say it's a waste of time and effort as a considerable part of players don't care for PvP (which is a true statement)? Do I say that the new theme for BfA, which is heavily based on faction war (=PvP), is a wrong step? NO, NO and NO! I just don't go playing PvP. Period. There's place for a bunch of things in WoW, actually much more that we actually have. I know players that enjoy the simple fact of making gold out of the AH (goblins like they are known). Others who think they are in Jotho, and "gotta catch 'em all". Some, like me, who are interested in collecting things, no matter what as long as you can show it off. And so on... Yet we all play the SAME GAME! A single game provides a wide range of activities for different tastes. How nice is it?So please. PLEASE! Stop complaining. Think that maybe your whining on things that you don't like to do only leads to Blizz removing such content and actually not improving by an inch the content you like. So try to make constructive suggestions to the Devs and, again, stop raining it someone else's parade.
My main issue with the missions has always been that you have to go back to the garrison/class hall/etc. every time you need to do anything with them. Give me a portable mission table (or a mission robot like Blingtron or something) and I'd be happy. It was far worse in WoD because the missions were much shorter, but it's still an unnecessary disruption to the rest of the game to force us to constantly go back and forth to the class hall; it's even worse for classes without a port directly to their class hall. And yes, I know you can do stuff on the phone app, which was a great idea and I use it all the time, but you can't use it while you're logged into the game. And logging out just to accept a mission on my phone that just finished in-game is really stupid. There's more complex and advanced technology already in the game, so there's no lore reason we can't have a fed up goblin invent a device to make this easier.
To counter the negativity, I actually use my followers to get gold to pay for my subscription. So everyone who hates this system, you don't have to use it beyond the story requirements, but realize that for some of us it is literally paying for us to play this game.
I...like the missions? I like figuring out the optimal balance between risk/reward (do I send this champion to counter a troop-killing mechanic on one mission, or should i keep them for an extra boost to a mission with a lower success chance?) I like them a lot more with the phone app, though - having a portable mission table would help a lot. I've got about six wormhole machines in my bag, you'd think i could send a message back to base.
