Danuser is being mind controlled by the titans. This clarification is part of the plot. The Jailer saw this clarification coming way back at Warcraft 1 beta.
It does make me wonder if we're going to have a Devos situation with Raszageth, where they have a legitimate concern of theirs be dismissed by the others, forcing them to take extreme lengths to correct that "mistake".
"It's not mind control because the people that did it think they are the good guys"
I usually appreciate clarification. This just feels like backtracking especially since we've been given reason to believe that the Titans weren't wholly good. And BFA showed that even showed that the Light can be used for evil.
Sounds like semantics are being argued. "Keeping even the most willful aligned," might not imply mind-control necessarily, but it's definitely something still very close in that area...
Odin always was a giant piece of &*!@. This is going to be the bastion story all over again where the antagonists are right and we have to kill them regardless
I see the Titans got to you first Steve.
i kind of understand, but i disagree with the titans' logic.for example, they just want the good parts to go to the dragons, making them "healthier and stronger", but this is a mistake. you should let them have bad things as well to create resistance.you see what happened with the black dragonflight.i'll give you an example. when i was a child, when i went to my grandmother's house, my mother used to dig in the mud and just let us play there, letting us be covered in mud from head to toe. she sais she did it to help us create immunity against bacterium, it would make us "stronger" in the longway. we rarelly got sick when i was a child thanks to that.what i mean to say is. just giving good stuff and always protecting from "bad" stuff, can backfire because it makes easier to be tempted to try it.again, i mention the black dragonflight.
Hey, they also said Sylvanas wasn't being mind-controlled by the Jailer, while true, it didn't make the story any better.
These darn....."checks outrage 8 ball" WHITE COLONIZER WRITERS!
I don't think what they did is bad at all. Order is a good thing. The universe does need both order and chaos in balance, but order itself is extremely beneficial. The world needs a structure and the dragons did nothing but reap benefits from it. And the titans and their keepers have all devoted their existences to promoting life and protecting worlds. Usually they just let them develop on their own with only slight influence. Azeroth was an exceptional case that needed more intervention. They're not humans like us, but they aren't bad people.I think players tend to get too easily focused on "mind control" possibilities and anything remotely manipulative becomes somehow evil. Everything influences everything, that's just life. Every person you meet will influence you in some way. You'd have to live in complete isolation to avoid it. At any given time there's a million different agendas roaming around Azeroth. There's no such thing as any race or person who hasn't been nudged by other things. But the end result is what matters and no one except the Incarnates takes issue with the dragon's evolution.
