Raidbuffs:This is pretty much an issue for the high mythic raiders. For Hall of Fame it might be interesting to bring those, but for those guilds that don't aim for Hall of Fame getting all raidbuffs there certainly isn't the case of "We must have one of each raidbuff." So for the vast majority of the players so amount of raidbuffs aren't really that troubling. I don't think that dev-thinking is too disconnected, because mostly only high end raiders care about that the most, and WoW has gotten away from those people for a while now already. Sure, some buffs are more important than others, but come on. Which raid doesn't have a Druid? Could we go without raidbuffs? Probably, would also make balancing a bit more straight forward.Catalyst:That thing is a bit weird. To make it completely fair set items would have to be put into M+ and PvP pools to make it possible to get to them in the first 6 weeks before those non-raiders would otherwise get them. But you would put a pretty low chance on that for the end of dungeon or end of pvp-match reward, because raiders get very limited chances per week and other content gets kinda unlimited chances to get those drops. Certainly not that great either, because now raiders are forced to do other content to get the set, so that would only turn the problem around. And considering raiders get so little chances, it's also very likely that quite some raiders don't even get to their 4 set bonus in those first 6 weeks. On the other side saying "M+ and PvP is at a heavy disadvantage because they can't get the set until week 4." feels not really genuine either. Most of the important stuff happens after the first two months anyway, the first few weeks aren't really that impactful for the season.Crafting:I really like that we will be able to get crafted Heroic or Mythic itemlevel items. And the method of getting them is easy enough for everybody. You just need to get in touch with a good enough crafter, but that makes professions more useful again. Some crafters will be more important compared to others, but that is something that's probably never gonna change.
but who cares about Dratnos? Who is this guy?
Dragonflight is one of the better expansions, but not as groundbreaking as advertised. Dragon Riding is a nice thing to have that speeds up early questing and farming a lot before vanilla flying is eventually available. Talents have some nice comebacks of popular legendary or SL covenant spells (I particularly like the Fearl Spirit CD reduce talent on Enhancement Shaman), but I don't like the utility spells vs. damage bonuses tradeoff. Crafting looks great on the surface and you get some nice blue gear to kick off HC/Mythic farming, but the grind to get the really good stuff is HUGE!
