So i cant be glowing vulpin in Stormwind ?
lol, guess they figured that since they're taking this crap away at the end of SL anyway, they might as well just do it now. Just moving it up from 10.0 to 9.0. Great example of how compartmentalized expansions are now. They aren't really 'expansions' anymore, so much as they're each individual games. Threadbare ties to the rest via our character but that's basically it.
Jesus Christ, Blizzard. What the hell are you doing. Is none of your team actually playing the game, and telling you that limiting the abilities you work to get is absolutely friggin HORRIBLE?This just feels like designed by committee than actually by people who spend time in the game.
There is literally no point in doing this...It doesnt improve anything for anyone, you just ^&*! over people that want to farm old content by making every run a bit longer. Like seriously, doesnt Blizzard have anything better to do other than messing around with stuff like this?Blizz chill with all these restrictions that are there for no apparent reason. Players will either not care or hate you for them. No one will say "Oh, nice! My freedom to play the game has yet again been slightly diminished! Hurray!"
this is bs - by that logic why don't they disable legos as well (created by the guy in SL, shouldn't work outside, right?) or soulbinds (part of covenant afrer all) for that matter... terrible and completely stupid decision :/
worst thing is no furries in sw.. 'x.x
What a horrible change. As someone who does a lot of old content I think it will now feel much worse because once you leave the new areas all your stuff reverts to barebones unmodified skill set. Who even though this is a good idea, and why does it matter that we can overpower old content? Come on...
Well dont get it.I can understand borrowed power that ppl call it is not future proof, but let us have it in old content ,give us some fun .Playing alts in shadwoland nah, wont happen untill the end of expansion for me at least.
That sucks. This will mean that every faction will have to change where they do their duel matches (No duels out of Orgrimmar nor Ironforge/SW), abilities become useless for old content (quite lame IMHO as its something i do a lot) and RPers who wanted to use said abilities for RP (mainly the Anderweald and Revender) are out of luck.If they wish to go through with this, at least only disable CLASS covenant abilities out of Shadowlands content, that way at least we still have the utility of it for world exploration and other stuff.Just realized that the Time dungeon event is going to feel this... really hard.
yep refunding my preorder
pathetic
Happens when the game has been built on too many gimmicks/systems since Legion. This one here is just a mistake piled onto other mistakes. But it does make sense realistically speaking that power that has influence in the Shadowlands has none in Azeroth.
There is literally no reason for them to remove it though. It doesnt have a plus side to it. You just !@#$ people who want to farm older content over. Even if its only a 5% dps loss. It is completely unnecessary.Actually, why dont they go a step further. Lets disable all the spells that will be returning with SL as well. We can also disable talents, just to be on the safe side! /s
So we get nerfed by losing Azerite, and the nerf is offset by having Covenants. And then Covenants are removed if not doing expansion related activities?I'm glad we had the 'player fun shouldn't come at the expense of story telling' :D
Are they going to take away our shadowlands transmog while we're not in shadowlands, too? How about our Shadowlands mounts?
That makes sense, but technically is a bad decision
I genuinely can not understand the people that approve of this, how does this benefit you exactly? Lore immersion? They're usable in arena's and bg's, how are those part of the "shadowlands"? This just seems to me like arbitrarily limiting player power. So what If I want to run old raids using nightfae? Technical limitations? Come on.. It seems like we can't move one step forward without moving two steps backwards no matter what.
