If ya'll really needed a ban in order to find the time to clean your house or do other responsibilities, maybe you need to rethink your priorities.
I think it was clearly an exploit. But I lack any sympathy for Bliz's approach. It was out in the wild & widely publicly commented on for quite some time. They said nothing. Now they've banned people, and they're still saying nothing. That's just a total communications fail. They should've opened with "we're aware of a leveling exploit & steps will be taken, potentially including punishment." Instead they went with their oppositional bureaucratic non-communicative style of doing nothing, saying nothing, and then acting like it was the hand of god. It's a case study in how not to handle community interactions. Their community handling is on par with the FCC.
I'd be interested to know if any streamers got banned also, or are they still considered the Golden Calf?
You know if this was for something important like cheating M+ or PvP, sure, I'd agree with a ban. However, these people are just leveling. Who the hell cares? Maybe Blizzard should consider the fact that so many people flocked to take advantage of this to level faster, and think to themselves why that is.
I'm honestly a little surprised, but I guess it was a pretty clear exploit because of the way the potions stacked. I only found out about it late so I didn't do it. I did level up four characters through timewalking dungeons because they gave crazy amounts of xp for no apparent reason - still want to know if that was intended or not.

Levelling up in WoW sucks. I don't see any benefit for me to make an alt just to get the heritage armor, then never play the toon again after that - because I prefer to focus on the endgame with my main. Blizzard should just allow the usage of Level Boost for Allied Races to get the heritage armor instead of levelling up manually. Win-win:- Players get heritage armor in an instant- Not many people will exploit the bug- Blizzard gets more money- Shareholders are happy with increased sales. If Blizzard doesn't even give an easy option, players will try to find (or exploit) an easier way by themselves.
Honestly? I'd rather spend 2 days leveling all my chars to 110, and 30 days on some IRL stuff, than 32 days doing this boring stuff. And that's why I don't play WOW anymore, until Classic comes. Games should be played for fun, not for loss of time.
