one week for me.. This is why blizzard is loosing subs, a technical aspect of game play is to play how a player wants, not to be bound by rules. I used to dual box, now I cannot since they changed to coding that they said might invite bots to control the "master wheel"... If they wanted this to happen they wouldn't of had it made possible, and someone found out. Will I get my play time back, Nope..
Did nobody read the EULA? you agree that you COMPLETELY understand you have NO OWNERSHIP of the account and that at ANYTIME blizzard can cancel the game, ban you, amongst other things, and you can DO NOTHING. If you don't like the EULA then don't play the game. Guess what though.. all those OTHER games you play (League, Apex, Fortnite) they ALL have the SAME EULA! Oh my gosh! you don't own ANY VIRTUAL ITEMS that are in a game another company owns...
6 month ban for using three potions one at a time.... way to go Blizz-Blizz reduced it down to a 9 day ban now.
Wow, i used those pots but i only used one at a time cause i thought they were expensive and didnt stack (im saving tokens for the mounts) so i only bought 5 and used 1 every hour and the buff didnt have a timer so i didnt know when it would go off.Looks like i dodged a bullet.
I just can't understand anyone defending Blizzard Activision on this. Yes the players were at fault for abusing a mechanic that obviously shouldn't have worked that way. But the crime doesn't fit the punishment here, i mean 31 day bans for leveling, a process tedious enough as it is (even i would have used that bug if i had know about it in time). It doesn't even hurt anyone. No one is getting an advantage from it, people already have a bunch of alts on max level. Not to mention that there were exploits like this one before and no one got banned for them. Even in the worst case scenario where bugs allowed guilds to kill bosses and cheese raids mechanics with exploits got 7 day bans. And in this expansion alone i found a few bugs that could be called "exploits", that were fixed with the recent patch and no one was banned for those... What is the line between a bug that will go unpunished and a 31 day ban one?And yes before you start mentioning the EULAs and rights etc. it is just bad publicity to do something like this in my opinion. The players are already not happy with the game and we don't need something like this on top of it.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
They gave out bans longer then 30 days, I have a friend who has been banned for no joke, a thousand years. And when asked if it could be lowered was denied.
To everyone defending blizzards decision:It wasn't obvious that this was an exploit. It was all over the internet and blizzard didn't roll out an hotfix and didn't bother to comment on it, so people just started assuming that it was ok to do, which lead to a lot of people doing it. And blizzard just stealth banning people without warning is not ok. This can't be compared to wall hacks and stuff like that, if you were somewhat new to the game you might have assumed that the flasks were supposed to work like they did. Start communicating with the playerbase and fix things that might get people banned faster blizz.

Got my 3 day ban for leveling 82-98, with a #$%^ tons of potions. Don't have any strong opinions about it, like deserved or not. Using bugs should lead to bans, agree with it 100%, but that "bug" was so easy to replicate, only a person who can't click shift on a potion can't do it. Plus they never had a timer on a potion anyway, haven't fixed it even after bugfix. In the end, worth it 100%, won't do it again but only 'coz it cost !@#$ tons of potions. Plus such obvious "cheat" is a major &*!@ up on their part.
This makes me really mad. Mad because I didn't know I could do that and didn't exploit it, for which a ban of a couple days or a week wouldn't have bothered me at all. I often don't log in for a few days or a week because BFA is such a pile anyway. But I have been leveling a new race for the heritage armor. If that one didnt' get played for a week.. oh well! More rested!
