One of the biggest bags to date! It surpasses the expensive Madman's Luggage (which isn't a new deal of course) and gets even to Horadric Haversack.

A shame you can't have more than one of the Unique Bags (at least for their cool icons!).

The event starts every hour on the hour during Hearthstone's 10th Anniversary in the following locations:

Valdrakken /way 62.38, 67.40
Stormwind /way 33.8, 19.6
Durotar /way 52.8, 15.8
An Ominous Portal spawns with a 5 minutes timer.

When the timer ends, a brief gauntlet begins and eventually Dr. Boom spawns.

UPDATE: At the same time the achievement Hearthstoned: Fiery Edition was made avaiable, the bags stopped dropping for my alts. This might have been hotfixed, although at no point thought it was not intended.

This becomes a sure drop once you have collected all the rewards from the event.
This event seems to have some protection for preventing repeated loot. Once you have collected all the other rewards, the only available drop for your alts would be this, and thus it becomes a 100% sure drop.
While it's early to take this as a sure fact, I've tested this on 7 alts and it's working as reported.

Collector's Carryall drops from the new Hearthstone 10th Anniversary Event. Its running from March 11th until March 18th.

Update March 15th:
- The event duration has been extended by 96 hours, and is now scheduled to end on Friday, March 22.
- For the remainder of the event, the boss portal will open every 30 minutes (was every 60 minutes).
- Players can now collect missing cards by using the Hearthstone Gameboard toy to defeat others in a friendly game. It will continue to drop cards after the event ends.

Every 30 minutes, an Ominous Portal with a 5-minute timer will spawn in Valdrakken, Stormwind and Durotar (Orgrimmar). Once the timer finishes, Whizbang will spawn and summon 3 iconic Hearthstone minions - Chillwind Yeti or Boulderfist Ogre, Patches and Dr. Boom.
Defeat them to earn Hearthstone-themed rewards!

EDIT: Update - my RNG went way lower than initially assumed, I guess I was just pretty lucky to get bags that quickly. I went 30 kills after collecting all the items until the 9th bag dropped on the 9th alt.

I'm farming this bag for alts (though there might be a 36 slot or 38 slot bag in War Within if Blizz is continuing to develop professions like in Dragonflight).

I don't think I've ever gotten an extra copy of the other items that drop from Whizbang's Portal event.

My suspicion is that the game checks if you already gotten those items, internally rolls for them, sees you already have it, and doesn't generate it. That's why you seem to collect items quickly and then fall off after that with just Wild Cards or no loot.

Bag still seems to drop at a decent rate. I don't think I've gone more than 10 kills and not gotten a bag at the extreme. Usually takes 1-3 kills now that I have every item.

Ok, this is now very suspicious, it's been almost a whole day doing 2-5 kills per hour (2 accs help, other than joining groups) without any bag drop, and several of these kills were after getting every collectible in the event besides the bag, so I have to ask: anyone got any more bags in the last few hours, and particularly, did anyone get any after getting all other items?

If so, was it your first kill of the day on account (wow day starts when dailies reset, which is 5 a.m. in eu) or was it a follow up kill?

Was just looking for some clarity. I have a bag on alliance alt and horde alt lol, why the rotation if ya hotfix next day. So is it one per faction? Just finished getting everything else. So wanted to know if I should bother doing it over and over if zero chance. Thanks in advance

I was trying to get this by following an advice from a comment here that stated they got this drop often after having max stack of the wild (green) cards.
After around 30-40 tries of literally no loot (the corpse was not lootable at all), I decided to delete them and voila, got the bag on the very next try (which was NOT the first try of the day).

Update: It seems that the first kill of the day (per character) has a significantly higher chance, but only if you don't have 10 green cards in your inventory. I got the bag on 8 chars this way, 1 of those was the second kill of the day and 1 was second kill but I had 10 greens on me on the first - the remaining 6 were all first kills.
Goes without saying this only applies AFTER you have everything else. I've seen zero bags before that.

It appears that the drop rate for Collector's Carryall may have been been greatly increased.
Prior to last night's hotfix, with portals spawning for 15 mins at all three locations, I'd done the event a couple of dozen times, and not had a single bag. So far today I've had bags on 4 out of 5 events, and seen them dropping for others too.
However, I've noticed that I've not had duplicates of the other items; this is pure speculation, but perhaps they share a loot table, so you get an increased chance once you have all of the other items?

UPDATE: Unfortunately it appears that I was led astray by an unusually kind streak of RNG and wishful thinking. Thanks for your input Esploratore & Kuaralho.

Update - got 8 bags, happened to collect everything for the event, then went 30+ kills without a single bag drop after trying multiple different things, and finally got the 9th.

This was after the first kill of the day.

So this doesn't seem bugged, just low RNG.

I didn't chance it with keeping 10 wild cards in my bags, though if someone else reportedly gets other items like mounts or cosmetics while having 10 wild cards to the cap, then I guess it is safe to not bother deleting your wild cards.

Could you have imagined if Blizzard gave us a Backpack Tmog with this Icons' design to be a part of the event? We'd need to have something to carry all of our Hearthstone Cards inside of. It would have been a nice little thing similar to the Horadric Haversack and Treasure Nabbin' Bag we got from the previous Diablo Event.

Now the real question would be if it would be a "full backpack" like the other backpacks we've gotten already or a "belt-mounted Fannypack" similar to the Trapper's Shot Pouch that was available from the April '23 Trading Post?

This is not a 100% info, but it is based on what I've seen personally and read in the community:

In order to get mount, pet, toy, tmog or bag, it is best to have 9 Hearthstone Wild Card with you.
In order to get collectible cards for the Hearthstone Card Collection acheivement, it is best to delete all Hearthstone Wild Card. If you have more than 7 cards in your bag, you might not have an ability to loot the boss.
You can kill the boss several times within the same hour, looks like it does not affect the loot you get.

I think it's just RNG, or maybe hotfixes sometime during the event, but this seems to be working.

I was watching this thread really close because the bag wasn't dropping for me either after quite a long streak of not getting it. I ended up getting every other cosmetic/mount/pet first, and a long streak of no drops/wild cards only/stolen hearthstone cards, but finally got it on my main. So I can confirm this will still drop just fine even if you have all of the cosmetics / that doesn't block it. Also saw some people posting about filling up on wild cards --- can confirm it drops with or without your inventory full of wild cards too. And also can confirm it will drop for multiple alts on the same account and within the same faction, I've been able to complete the event with multiple alliance alts and able to pick it up for them too.

its tradable to others who also participated, even if not grouped. to cross faction trade it you have to enter a dungeon while grouped.
i had hit 40 kills each on 2 toons, so i offered to buy one after a kill for 50k. cross realm traded it right there on the spot, nice to see that working. it still had the blue tradable text until i equipped it. this was after a kill where i had 10 cards in bags, and all other items collected.

This bag shares the title of largest non-reagent bag in the game at 36 slots with the previously obtainable Horadric Haversack from the Diablo "Greedy Emissary" event.

Since the hotfix that increased portal spawns to 30 minutes aka twice an hour. The Collector's Carrryall 36 slot bag drop rate has gone down it appears. Also, with the addition of grey items on the loot table now makes getting the bag much harder to obtain while I have also looted 4 to 5 Sarge's battle pets. Very strange since Sarge has a lower drop rate.

Just went 30+ kills without a drop since the last one pre-hotfix and I double checked if I already had the bag on that alt, or if I didn't have the cap on wild cards or some other thing or shuffled which alts did Whizbang. Whatever the hotfix did with decreasing the event timer from an hour to 30 minutes, it seemed to have tanked the drop rate, especially compared to when the event first began (the wowhead tracker above is also going down from above 10% to below it now). This comment is likely correct as to why.

I think I'm going to stop farming this on alts now. 2 bag slots isn't worth all this headache. 10 drops is more than enough.

Interestingly, Diablo 4's Horadric Haversack had a way better drop rate (I got it all on my alt army) compared to Collector's Carryall especially since War Within might give a 36 slot bag to craft for Tailors with the new Professions philosophy (we'll see when Alpha comes out).

I guess my warning is to any mains still wanting this bag - the novelty is neat, if you got other cosmetics left, keep farming, but if you still missing this, be prepared for the drop to take a while. Players do like fancy bag icons and 'quality' (the Hexweave Bag still sells despite being smaller than other bags because it is an Epic), however Bags aren't forever and get quickly replaced.

Blizzard is gaslighting it's users. This bag is NOT 10% drop rate, or something else is broken entirely.

At 10% chance, and 63 attempts, there is a 99.87% that at least one would have been a bag by now. That means there's only a .13% chance that I would not have received a bag by now, I'm that unlucky. I have received all other items dozens of runs ago and now I only receive more copies of Sarge or bent/digested vendor trash.

Wowhead's 548 out of 5598 drop chance (10%) hasn't updated in days and cannot be accurate. Sarge is listed at 5% and I have literally dozens of them.

My theory: the bag is still dropping as I see other people getting it. So the bag is not bugged but perhaps some criteria to make it drop is bugged for some users.
or the bag is not 10% drop chance. If it were 1% for example, I would have a 46.9% chance of having gotten one by now. Which is more in line with what other users have described as taking 70-100 runs to complete.

Call it luck or whatever, but I decided to 'reactivate' Rarity addon, and put this bag as custom item in the tracked items, yesterday, dropped on ~4 toons. This sunday isn't over and I dropped it on ~6 toons right now.

Now 'only' 8 toons to go, from 25 total in the server I have my main (who dropped his yesterday, one of the 4 that did) o.o
Imagine if the event DID END Tomorrow. Hope everyone got theirs.

Oh, and call me supersticious, but I'm popping the Lucky Duck as the portal spawns (or is up already), among other things :P

Edit: Just dropped 7th bag on 7th toon, today. Did they increase the drop chance? Maybe it's because I don't focus on ONE toon, if it didn't drop on one, I just try on next one, next spawn.

Drop your wildcards........ I started on 3rd day of event. The portal times were still 60mins. In 2 days I had all the 1st achieve and all the goodies including 5 bags on alts. Then, everything came to a standstill. (except the Sarge pet). For 2 days nothing dropped. Then, I remembered reading that if you had 10 cards in your bags, you would not get any more cards. So, I went back to all the alts that had killed the event bosses and deleted all the extra wildcard so I had none left. 6 kills yielded 3 more bags on alts. I can find nothing to support this result but if it works, we have nothing to lose. So, delete all those extra wildcards and see if it works for you. I'd love some feedback.

Most of my alts got the bag pretty fast, within the first few days, many on their first kill. But two of my toons that I play often have dozens of kills with no bag. Makes no sense. There has to be a bug.

got bag as last item that I haven't, Around 100 kills and 15 Sarges in bags. Looks like it have lowest drop rate. And if you got it fast you r pretty luck.

I've looted the bag on six characters, always on the first kill of the day for those specific characters. Further attempts on the same day on a character that has not yet received the bag has only yielded lots of extra Sarges. Judging from all the comments here it's probably safe to assume that the drop chance is tremendously higher on the first kill of the day (per character).

I also tested the theory of the bag not dropping if you are capped on wildcards in your inventory and it is not true. I got the bag to drop despite having 10 wildcards in my inventory, so either that has been fixed or it was never anything but a wild theory.

Regarding the bag drop rate, I've been farming it on my main nonstop for days. It felt odd that even after getting everything and multiple Sarge pets, the bag didn't drop. I even had the bag drop on multiple alts on the first or second kill.

Having said that, I have this (most likely dumb) theory/suspicion as to why this was the case... Basically, I suspected that if the character has a bag from similar events, such as the Diablo4 event or Shadowlands event Papa's Mint Condition Bag, the item won't drop. So to test this, I put my bag in the bank, and what do you know... i got it to drop.

I mean, I can't say for sure that this is the case, but try it? maybe it works for you too?

If you're wondering if you'll get another chance at getting this bag when giving one to a friend/family member the answer is yes. One dropped for me, gave it to my nephew. Four kills later another one dropped for me (same toon.)

Blizzard increased the drop rate quite a bit. A lot of folks on the Blizz forums have reported farming this bag for their alts and a lot of them were successful.

I believe the drop-rate on this bag is badly bugged since the hotfixes. For a limited time event that's very unfortunate.

I have farmed for this on two of my more played characters on and off for most of the event. I'd estimate I've killed the boss and looted it on each of them 30 times easily over 6+ days. I've gotten a dozen of the Sarge pet in this time (including several instance where I got it multiple kills in a row).

I tried with full stack of Hearthstone Wild Card in my bags, and with zero, with 1, with 9 as some people early on speculated having or not having these would impact loot tables. No difference was seen.

However on this the final day of the event I started doing it some of my less preferred alts.

On 12 of 14 of them they got a bag on their very first kill. These characters were all level 50+, most 60+ or 70. I believe I hadn't gotten any kills previously on 90% or all of them.

Considering reports from other people, there is almost certainly some messed up internal loot calculation per character going on here that means certain characters, perhaps those who participated at a certain point or looted things, or who really knows, but some criteria means they have low or perhaps zero chance of looting these bags while all others have very high drop rates to the point at the final day I just knocked out getting these bags for a bunch of characters with 1 try each.

Too late to fix now but I hope Blizzard looks into this kind of algorithm before the next time they use it.
