First time I downed Gruul back at lvl 70. Was my first experience with 25 man raiding and I've been hooked ever since.
My favorite memory is doing Sunwell Plateau, the bosses, the atmosphere and the loot were all grand and top quality during the days of BC.
My favorite moment was finally getting into Mount Hyjal back in Vanilla after hours of wall jumping and trying different things and jumping off Hyjal into Felwood and dieing because Noggenfrogger didn't proc the slowfall buff as I was falling. Good Times.
My favorite time in WoW was when i finally finished installing the game and logging on as my warrior back in '05 (which i still have the toon =) yay me) and staying up for 36+ hours learning controls and what it was that i was doing i think for the 1st hour i was just running in circles!
My favorite moment in World of Warcraft has to be when I was running Lost City of the Tol'vir on Heroic difficulty. During the first boss fight (General Husam), he tossed my Rogue into a nearby pillar, face first. What made that moment even more hilarious than being forcefully faceplanted into solid stone was that he actually took me out of combat, allowing me to stealth again.
We patrolled through the Battlegrounds brandishing flags of victory. We have entered the inner chambers of the Titans to fight the Death itself. We participated in the Tournament of Champions to prove ourselves worthy to participate in the battles ahead on the Frozen Throne. We put much effort for months, opening way through the Chambers of the Frozen Citadel to get to the final battle. We have given sweat and tears for many nights to finally see the Lich King on the floor. And now we are giving our best to survive and regain our world its very destruction.I started to play like over two years. I don't have all the experience that a player Vanilla or BC may have. I'm neither a hardcore player, but I strive to make progress in the game. The WoW has given me many joys. But all that does not compare with the opportunity to meet my guildmates in person. Beyond the things that I lived in Azeroth, I met a group of true friends that will last me for a long, long time :)
My favorite time in wow is when i dinged my first lvl 10 =) and got a talent point, the old talents, where i was rly happy that i lvled up and got the feeling that it wasn't only leveling up with no incentive =)
I can't seperate two so I would like to share them both. No. 1 is my first ever raid which was Karazhan (BC). I did it with an experienced guild (RL mates) and came out with 7 epic pieces from it. The other is when Cataclysm hit and we were able to fly around Azeroth. I probably spent 1/2 a day checking out the world from above :)
Raiding Karazhan. This was my first raid with my guild at the time, and really got me into raiding. I really liked the different mechanics of the bosses, as a group you really had to communicate and do your designated role well, otherwise it was wipe. There were several wipes, but that's what really made it fun, our guild didn't give up, we would talk it out, discuss the fight mechanics, try and position everybody right and really do our best. I had a blast, and it seemed like everybody in the group really behaved themselves, no drama, no cries over people not getting loot. By far the most fun I've ever had in the game.
My favorite memory was about six months after Wrath of the Lich King's release. A good friend and I were sitting on Ventrilo one night and he tells me that he's going to join a For the Alliance raid. Unknown to him however, I had a level 80 Horde Elemental Shaman. I decide to log over and wait patiently for him to get to Thunder Bluff. Shortly before he gets there, I ask which entrance they're taking, and he replies north.I position myself and watch down below for an incoming raid. Once they get to the elevator, I flag myself for pvp and the minute they reach the top, I knock all 40 of them off with Thunderstorm. I spent a good 20 minutes dying from laughter at the sight of 40 Alliance flying to their deaths and the sound of my friend raging. He wondered why I was laughing so hard and after I told him that the Shaman was me, he calmed down and also began laughing.
