This is a sub-zone of Dun Morogh, located towards the east end of Dun Morogh. It is located just southeast of Amberstill Ranch, which in turn is just southeast of the city of Ironforge. It is a low-level questing area with a few amenities and several short quests.

If coming from Kharanos, take the north road out of town, then take a right at the Y-intersection immediately outside town. Follow the main path north to a T-intersection just south of a wooden bridge, then turn right at the intersection (the signpost points to Loch Modan). Keep following this road for a couple minutes (about 2:50 by foot, 1:45 by ground mount) until you see another signpost. Take a right at the dirt path (the direction of the Gol'Bolar Quarry sign), which takes you into the quest hub. The quarry itself is down the hill to the south of the hub.

Amenities include a weaponsmith who can repair gear (Frast Dokner), a food & drink vendor (Kazan Mogosh), a cooking trainer (Cook Ghilm), a mining trainer (Dank Drizzlecut), and a flight master (Dominic Galebeard). You can also take Mathel's Flying Machine back and forth to Ironforge Airfield once you've finished the quests here.

The "correct" quest path includes visiting Amberstill ranch and running It's Raid Night Every Night from Sergeant Flinthammer (requires level 6) followed by Rams on the Lam from Veron Amberstill and Protecting the Herd from Rudra Amberstill. After these three quests, Sergeant Flinthammer gives Help for the Quarry which sends you to Gol'Bolar Quarry. With full heirloom gear, completing those quests brought me from level 6 to 7, but you might need a few extra kills with no heirlooms.

You don't need the Amberstill quests though, and can run straight to the quarry for the available quests. At level 6, Foreman Stonebrow offers Those Blasted Troggs!, but it's probably best to wait until level 7 to pick up The Public Servant from Senator Mehr Stonehallow, and Priceless Treasures from Prospector Drugan.

After completing these three quests, Trouble at the Lake will send you east to Bahrum's Post, where you can pick up Entombed in Ice from Sergeant Bahrum and Dealing with the Surge from Khurgorn Singefeather. After completing these two quests, Bahrum offers Dark Iron Scheming. After this third quest, Bahrum gives you Get to the Airfield, which sends you back to Gol'Bolar Quarry. After taking Mathel's Flying Machine to the Ironforge Airfield, you're pretty much done with this sub-zone, although you'll head through here once more on the way to Ironforge after completing the airfield's quest chain.

At the very end of the quarry's mine (you travel down, then back up and around to a "mountain" in the middle of the mine), there's the rare spawn Hammerspine who gives a significant amount of experience, but he does have a lengthy spawn timer (about 30 minutes when I tested it), so it probably isn't worth sitting around waiting if he's not already up.
