I love the Lunar Festival. It's one of the easier events to collect all the vanity items. I think the legacy loot system is a vast improvement over the current system. Just before the patch, I farmed a strength sword on my demon hunter, death knight, and hunter (it finally dropped for the DH), so I'm glad they're putting that capability in again.
I finally did the Lunar Festival on the Horde side and now have both Lanterns. As my Horde toon is mainly for achievements and Horde faction recipes, I managed to make a small amount of gold out of the time I spent doing the Elders, Dungeons and selling the loot. About 4k worth. That had a small amount of time doing a once only circuit for Rare drops in various places too. If I completed dungeons instead of just getting to the Elders I would have made a little more, but was just doing them quickly so I can get onto Alts to get the other new items this year.
Loved your points about ethics and doing the right thing being a personal matter. Way back in Vanilla I looted a BOE blue while grinding for 60. Silly little me ran to the AH, posted the blue, and got perhaps 10% of it's real value. Whoever bought it got a great deal and I got screwed. But that mistake taught me about using AH addons, so I learned. I would never have asked for the item back because to me that would be unethical. I made a mistake, I had to learn from it. Works great in life too!
Recently got my beta invite for TSM4. My favourite feature, if you could call it that, is that the UI is now a lot clearer. I think this will remove some barrier of entry for newer goblins. Unfortunately my imported groups don't work well in the beta yet, so I'm back on TSM3 for everyday use. But it was nice to get a glimpse of what is coming.
i love the tsm, when I started to use it I was poor, now I can buy everything what I want, and its soo good (spider mount, tcg things from the ah, etc). Any pro tip from leatherworkers? TY
one time like 3-4 years ago i did try to send some mats and stuff from my horde char to my ally char with booty bay AH with help of a friend by putting mats for 1 copper each stack and it end up badly as someone bought like 7-8 stack of mats before i get them and when i asked him to give them bk nicely he just laughed at me and ignored me.... man i was pissed... no one could do anything.... i even asked a GM and he said he has done nothing wrong... well he was right but well...also i remember back in cata someone was selling a rare battle pet in trade and asked him for price and he was like idk make me an offer and i said u tell me and he said something like 100g lol.... but i knew the pet worth more than 5k as it was really rare and i was nice enough to tell him that lol that guy was sooo happy xD
I am actually supprised that it is still possible to make money with Inscription. Although it cannot nearly compare to how much you could do back in WoD with trinkets with several Inscriptors.
I have been invited to the beta! Well, my old forgotten secondary account has. The thing that always gets me is the new coat of paint things get. I love seeing it.
FInally got into TSM4 Beta (Woo!) and I'm really loving the interface upgrade. It feels far more user friendly and intuitive. It's gotten me more excited about using the auction house -- which is good, since I spent most of my gold buying tokens so I could afford the BfA pre-order!
Have you participated in the Lunar Festival this year?Yep, not for gold making, but just to get the new crown appearances (and to get some xp on alts in the process of doing so). What do you think about the proposed legacy loot rule changes?I think it's a good change, more loot is always welcomed, and being able to collect appearances that you might not have been able to otherwise (for example, an agility dagger while running on a magic based class) is nice.
TSM3 and I have a love/hate relationship. Definitely looking forward to the changes with TSM4 and hopefully it'll be something I enjoy using!
I am looking forward to the TSM4 release. I like the new look from the various screenshots that have been posted. I am really interested to see how they have streamlined the configuration.
love this mount
The new TSM4 UI looks fresh and modern. I've signed up for a Beta invitation to test it out and give feedback but I haven't received a invitation yet :(.
I remember that back in the day I managed to snipe a few dozen stacks of underpriced ore. It costed something like 4g 5s for a stack and the market price was 45g, so It was most probably an error with typing in the price. The original seller mailed me, demanding that I return all of it. I told him that it was his mistake, but I ended up giving him about 40% of the ore's market worth in gold. I just felt bad for him, so many stacks. I'd hate to be in his shoes.
Back when pets first were moved to a collection tab, folks were posting those sold by vendors for enormous markups.I went to every vendor I could and bought piles, and posted then for dirt cheap, both on faction and on neutral AH.
Well, this week's read was a bit advanced for me, but I'm certainly looking into the Inscription market, so will use some of those tips.
I just started using TSM3 about a year ago. I was originally trying to make enough fro the spider mount, but have not been able to break a barrier I seem to have developed between 800K and 900K. I am still trying to learn it and get it set up better. I hope TSM4 is a little more user friendly. I am looking forward to the import/export feature, and hope to see fair sharing of groups/operations for those less savvy players.
Inscription is the profession I spend the least amount of time one. But I do sell anything on the AH that will make me a profit so long as it doesn't take too much effort.
