This set uses the dark blue/red (officially "Black") variant of the "B5 Plate" artwork and forms six pieces of a seven-piece set of that art. Only the shoulders are missing.

While there are "Warlord's" and "Warmaul" pieces for the head and shoulders, they actually use unrelated art and so aren't listed here. No art actually exists for a headpiece in this artwork set. Like many older sets, none was ever created. Artwork does exist for the shoulders, however, but for some reason was never used.

There are three other colour variants of this artwork, but sadly none are available as plate. Two are available as mail sets, however. See:

Amber (officially "Copper") : Radiant Set
Yellow-grey (officially "Silver") : Radiant Set (Recolor)
Blue-silver (officially "Blue") : just a mail belt, Chillsteel Girdle

This set and the Warmaul set use the same skin. If you can't find all the pieces, you can mix and match the Warlord and Warmaul sets to get the complete look.

The Warlord's Iron-Breastplate has had blue-grey fabric added to cover the shoulders, arms and back under the plate parts. The leggings are unchanged.

Replace the chest with this: Warrior's Embrace.
Goest greatly with The Gleaming Ravager and enchant it with Crusader.

I personally go for Antiseptic-Soaked Dressing, they give a kind of cloth aspect making the chest plate look like a corset.
I also like Pauldrons of the Souleater on my 80 DK twink, even though I prefer Spaulders of Manifold Eyes (that requires level 85 at least). I usually do not add any helm but if you have Casque of Flame I think it works great, and for maximal epicness I use Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood you can also use the level 85 version but I seriously find it less good looking.

If you're a DK, you can transmog the belt to the invisible Acherus Knight's Girdle, making the bikini pants look even more low-rise.

Of course, if you're like my DK, all the skin you're showing off may be unappealingly gray and corpsey, but at least she can't feel the cold.

Has anyone found a good alternate breastplate? I like the sleek look of the rest of the set but the folds on the top of the 'breastplate' are not appealing to me.

As for me, I prefer Pauldrons of Swift Retribution. Its color scheme matches the set pretty well.

Alternative breastplates which work with this set are Hydralick Armor and Warrior's Embrace (for a female character).

I looked through 1000 pieces of plate shoulders and here are my recommendations:

As previously mentioned below, Elementium Deathplate Shoulderguards is probably the best fit but is dropped by Majordomo Staghelm in Firelands who happens to have 43,504,024 health....so may not be solo'able until up into the 100 level 640+ gear, if even?

Other possible options/placeholders:
Polished Obsidian Pauldrons
Rescuers Shoulderguards
Pauldrons of the Apocalypse
Oathsworn Shoulderguards

some of the above have multiple shared models

right now Im using Warlord's Iron-Epaulets as a placeholder and they work ok

I'm not for sloot mogs but I love the colouration for this set. I'm going to keep everything but the chest and pants and replacing the chest with Hydralick Armor and the pants with Gladiator's Plate Legguards.

It looks SO good, and it doesn't look sleezy which is AWESOME!

This is my set!

I mean, y'know. It's not PERFECT but I think it's the best anyone can do, trying to keep the colourations from a set by changing the MAIN pieces.
If someone finds something better, let me know!
