why start at 58... have us at 60 when we start on a bc server
Personally I love the idea of every expatiation having it's own server, then the option to transfer characters forward (but not into retail).I would adore leveling a character from classic all the way to bfa, but in the most organic way possible. I can spend however long I want in each expac, with no endgame rush. I understand it splits the player base, but it all comes to the same money, and everyone has their favorite expac.
I would like to have vanilla, tbc and wotlk servers available in the future. Sure sure, cata and mists had their points but the first 3 expansions were the "big originals". 3 legacy servers and retail, shouldn't be an impossible job for a multi-billion dollar company.
They better not restart servers OR force us into TBC. I spent so much time building my Classic toon and I expect the server / character to stay there... Classic+ is the only change I'd accept.
@AndersonKT24I think the best route for blizz to take should be this. instead of giving players the option to copy their individual characters to the new TBC servers. blizzard should instead copy the CURRENT CLASSIC SERVERS with all the characters that are currently in it and then upgrade that copy with the TBC content while the original classic servers stays "pure" for lack of a better word.Because the MAJORITY of players i have met and interacted with are extremely worried that not all of our classic characters will be transfered/copied cus some of us have multiple level capped toons and would absolutely be disappointed at the idea of having to re-level their alts due to some transfer limit. or if they have to go through a very long tedious process if blizz went with the "individual character transfer/copy" routeplus it would save players the hassle of having to rename all their characters because one of the TBC servers might have someone who took their character's name first.
Ideally, the current server pool will remain what it is now, with a new pool of BCC servers and, if they feel the interest is there, a fresh pool of Classic servers, with the option to transfer your Classic character to the BCC servers via the website.I rolled on and play Classic because I wanted to play the 1.12 game. Just putting Classic servers back on the same old progression path both damages their stated intent behind the 1.13 servers (allowing players to experience the old game, minus concessions made for the sake of necessity and changes they've made to preserve the 'feel' as best they can), and I think would do more harm than good. Having Classic, TBC Classic, and, if they go that far, WotLK Classic all on their own pools allows them to draw in players who want 1.12, who want 2.4, who want 3.3.3, without alienating those same players when "it's time to move on" once again, or be forced to discard all the time and effort they put into their characters to start over from scratch.
The people who ask for removing the Classic servers, either by deleting our classic characters or by sending them into TBC... I see this as a deep and disgusting treachery. How dare you?
Seasonal realms should be a thing for classic but I would allow characters to choose to transfer their mains over to TBC if they want. Sort of like how it works in Diablo 3.
Everyone up in arms over existing classic characters and templates, and I'm just waiting to level a space goat and a blood elf.
I think we need to give players the opportunity to create level 58 once, so that they cannot produce all classes in a row. And remove the ability to create paladins (horde) and shamans (alliance) level 58.And it's better to leave the classic server and not delete it because many people are interested in this content and they may go to the classic private servers.
I'd rather they NOT just 'copy paste' expansions into Classic. Treat it like the "Emerald Dream of WoW"; had the devs not gone the route they went with Retail.Bring over the QoL of Pet Journal (not Battle Pets; just the journal...got 8 bank slots full of BoP pets), Dual Specs, Archeology (put spin it more for uncovering additional lore; something to do during downtimes...like fishing), Transmog (with the Settings option to turn it off like how you can for DK Voice Modulation), Retail Graphics (again, option to turn it off), tweaked talents/abilities (ie with Righteous Fury active, Judgement now taunts / with Rockbiter active, Earth Shock now taunts )But then leave in things like potion stacking, world buffs, and challenging 'not boss' mobs. Then start adding in content from the other expansion, but tweaked to match the 'design philosophy' of Vanilla. But start it off with Azeroth content first before moving to Outlands. So we'd get Grim Batol, Karazhan, Hyjal (as seen in the Hyjal Raid; Cata-Hyjal is bigger on the inside :P), Ghostlands, etc...WITH NO LOADING SCREENS for outdoor zones (always annoyed me going from EPL to Ghostlands).Because, ya, if they release TBC it'll be a hit. If they release Wrath, it'll be a hit. But then what? They know that Cata was the start of the decline. They know most HATED Warlords. So why bother going through content that you know will drive your customers away.Instead. Give us something new that's based off the older, more well-liked, design philosophy that drove this game to over 11 million players.BTW: Fresh start is silly. It won't change the fact that you now exactly what to farm and when to farm it for each phase of content. Layering didn't screw up the economy that much. Knowing things such as Elemental Water would go for a premium during Phase 6 did. Or that GDKP runs are the best way to make coin for lvl 60s. Or that mages can sell boosts and make bank.((All you will do is be back on the forums demanding that others not be allowed to make as much gold as they are.))
This is exactly why I don't play Classic even tho I think Classic has superior game design to Retail. I am not interested in MMORPG that has no where to evolve. If Classic got expansion today, I wouldn't even blink leaving Retail.
Further community fragmentation. Bad idea.
another sever I never see hmmm
Considering the multiboxers and layer exploiters at the start of Classic anything but not a fresh start would be a terrible idea.
