A side effect of having a spirit lodge/mage tower, doesn't spawn enough to make it a regular cooldown but it can be useful when they do for leveling.

I have yet to have one of these spawn in a Dungeon, so it appears that this is only available for Soloing / Questing.

The tooltip for this ability is a bit misleading. For one, the rune isn't actually placed under you. You're usually going to have to shift a little to get in it. It also means you should keep an eye out for the announcement text, because without it you can easily miss a rune that pops up behind you.

The other thing is that "increasing critical strike chance" is a bit of an understatement of what the rune actually does. It does increase crit chance, but it doesn't mention that it increases crit chance by 100%, so every attack from the rune is a crit. It's very, very powerful when it happens.

It often doesn't trigger when you stand on it, sometimes for the entire duration. You--or at least I--often need to run back and forth onto it several times before it registers. Unfortunately sometimes it doesn't at all before it expires. Needs fixing rather badly.

I submitted a screen shot for what this looks like. I was having an issue seeing it and that's because my particle density was set really low. It seems like if you have it that setting on High/Ultra it should be extremely easy to see.

It appears as a Blue Glyph on the ground that you need to stand on for the duration of it being there. While you stand on it it grants you 100% crit. Hopefully this helps those that were having the same issue I was having with not being able to find it.

Fair warning for Warriors. More often than not your charge will trigger the rune of power proc. So usually this awesome buff is 8-30 yards behind you. Heroic leap however seems to proc it near where you land.

I also have not seen this proc in any raids as well.

I built a mage tower and had no idea this was linked to it. It's been extraordinarily useful as a prot paladin while taking down harder rare mobs. They pop up a few times in the fight and makes the fight a bit quicker.

I decided to build the Mage Tower when I realized some ship missions takes 48 hours to complete and heard Mission Completion Orders works on them.
What i didn't realize is how much of a game changer these runes of power are for my combat rogue!
Tanaan rares' health just melts away like butter in the summer sun and so far all the rares are dead before the rune is gone.
Also found out that combined with Shuriken Toss you can dish out some serious ranged damage, especially if you pop Adrenaline Rush and just spam the bugger.
Didn't think twice and gave all my alts a mage tower, and the apexis you get aren't bad either!
