you don't need to pick the lock, if she doesn't get up and open it herself, drop the quest and pick it up again and it should work, happened to me in a group

she's in the big circular room that triggers the "investigate the amani catacombs" from the other quest, fairly easy to do as long as you can handle the adds, done it solo and with another now

dont even bother with this quest, its to annoying with the spwn times and the 3 mobs at once ............................

Pretty easy as a 17 Priest. Try to kill as much nearby mobs as possible before starting the quest, though.

I just did this, she walked into farstrider retreat and it failed! I can only assume it was because i was not close enough to her when she walked in, so stay close!

One of the more aggravating quests. Come in the backside of the catacombs (northside close to Farstrider Retreat). Be sure to clear all of the trolls down the hall, in the antechamber on the left, and in the main room. Once she opens the cage, just move a little ahead of her in case of respawns, and these trolls respawn fairly quickly. What makes this quest aggravating (like all escort quests) is she walks very slowly. If a troll respawns along the path, she will run up to help you fight it, then run back to where she was when you entered combat. Once you get outside, 2 trolls spawn to attack you, take care of them quickly and stay with her as she finally runs to Farstrider Retreat. If you stray to far away from her, you can fail the quest.

The mobs are level 16-17, not too tough except for the Amani type trolls that will run when you get them close to death, aggroing any mobs around them you haven't already cleared.

Since after each fight, her hp heals itself, I casted blessing on might on her and let her solo the quest. :D

Watch out she doesn't take on two mobs though, then you'll have to intervene. :P

Don't expect much xp or loot, but still it's pretty funny to watch.

i'm a blood elf warlock, are rouges the only class that can lean lock picking? assumin you have to be taught lock picking that is.

idk if it's true, but apprently this can only be done by Bloodelves due to the fact that my 80 undead mage and wasnt able to do the quest, i know for a fact that i havent done it yet becuz this is teh first time in Ghostlands...idk if it's true or not, could anyone confirm this pls...

I will admit to not having been around from vanilla, nor have i by any means done all of the escort quests but this quest really wound me up (nearly as much as that night elf one where the guy keeps falling asleep not sure if thats still around?) even considering it's such a short distance and the mobs really are not hard any more but her that elf how aggravating, the woman has been locked in a cage at the mercy of trolls yet she strolls out as if on a national trust guided tour, then sprints at a troll whacks him around a bit then sprints back to where she started from and begins pottering around again.

Once outside (and i don't know if this happens all the time) she decides to run back in and pick up another four freshly spawned trolls -.- then pisses of again leaves me to deal with them and runs to the retreat meaning I fail the quest as i'm word of glorying my ass off back with the other trolls SHE aggro'd.

Done now though and i spose the boots arn't bad at lvl 15, still if all the old TBC and vanilla escort npc's are that aggravating you old timers have my sympathy and admiration.

I'm having trouble with this quest. I"m a lvl 19 soloing frost mage and I can't for the life of me get to her. they keep killing me and their freakin poisonous clouds prevent me from regening enough health to take on the next one. They all seem to be either respawning WAAAAY to fast or I'm just incompetent. Please give me a suggestion or two cause I'm really pulling out hair here.

If Bugged as for us.
I'm here in a party of 2.
We both took the quest, but none of us can open the cage.
We tried dissolving the party, didn't work.

Fixed it though.

Both abandon the quest, only one take it, and then the other will be asked to join.

If someone else is on the quest, the cage will appear empty. Just wait there until whoever is done finishes, and she will respawn.

These trolls ambushed me and have been keeping me in this cage. I think they're planning to sacrifice me! Help me get out of here!

The lock on the cage isn't that complex... I just can't get to it from this side. Please escort me back to the Farstrider Enclave. I'm sure Captain Helios will reward you, and you'll have my undying gratitude!
