For Posidriss's race you'll see these abilities in your vehicle interface:
Nature's Wind
Emerald Restraint
Winds of Life

I guess I figured, that keeping Winds of Life up as long as possible to benefit from its speed boost whenever I restore Vigor with the other 2 abilities is intentional. Still, I don't "feel" the abilities' synergy here, and I dislike how different the upward effect of Nature's Wind looks like sometimes, but maybe I'm just using it wrong.

For GOLD, it doesn't start with a timer (You only get a timer if you restart in the middle of a race) So, with no timer, hold down your forward button as you jump off, hit #3 wait 1 sec and hit #2. Your #1 button is going to be used the most. Use as much as possible. However, when you hit #1 it propels you upward too. So, be sure to factor that in. I would aim at the bottom of the rings if you want to #1 through the ring. (Spam 1 as much as possible) Anytime your next ring is higher elevated, hit #1. There is no vigor to reset, just be sure to hit the small green clouds to add vigor. Should be able to make gold with 3 seconds left. Good luck

There is no achieve for getting gold for any of these races.

You get credit towards Daycare Derby just for accepting the quest (and thus porting to where it takes place). You do not have to complete the race.
You do, however, have to complete and turn in the quest, having achieved at least a Bronze score, to receive credit towards Whelp, There It Is.

Attempting to start this race (the last I need) goes to one loading screen, then immediately into another, and then another, finally ending up with my toon about 100 stories above the ocean free falling.

I still can´t get this one. Did someone do this during weekend (EU), because I can play only from Friday to Sunday and I still have not seen this one.
