You are looking for Razorwing Matriarch or Frenzied Razorwing.
If you cannot find them, look up!

Low spawn rate, and a lot of them spawn in the skies, so good luck if you're not a ranged class.

Drop rate of the talons is 100% but the mobs are extremely sparse and slow spawning. There's also a lot of competition for tags. Very annoying quest as is, but I expect the spawn rate will get buffed.

All they had to do to make this quest not be stupid is to make the Hatchlings qualify, but I guess that was too hard...

Or better yet half the amount to 5 you need to get as there isn't even 10 in the entire quest area.

Edit: There is a ton of these mobs at Hope's Ascent even though it's not indicated on the map.

Edit again: Nvm, even though the fliers at Hope's Ascent have Razorwing in their name they evidentially don't count. Go figure...

I found this quest annoying for one reason the game's camera angle and zoom factor auto change due to obstruction with the environment. and looking up isn't perfected with this camera feature in this game unless you get to first-person mode.

As an Outlaw Rogue who doesn't have a ranged attack longer than 20y, not being able to even touch half of the mobs because they're hovering stationary out of range is great on top of the already scarce spawn rate. I get to sit and wait until one flies into range or until a Horde player tags it. For reference, Pistol Shot and Between the Eyes are both 20y, compared to Poisoned Knife on both other Rogue specs and Heroic Throw on Warriors which are 30y for this kind of reason... Pretty cool.

I have completely different reward for this quest, as opposed to what Wowhead shows. How to get the cosmetics? Should they be shown as a reward or are they random bonus reward?

Description

These lands are not well known yet by my hunters, but we have discovered formidable beasts that reside here. Among these are the Razorwing: vicious predators with terrible talons... and the temper of a vorkai. <Herne grins fiercely.> Bring me some of their talons to help teach our newest hunters about the kinds of beasts they will face.
