I don't know if this is the case for everyone, but for me, the correct answer for all 3 was "Pass to Shadowlands". Given how we know the Kyrians work, I wouldn't be surprised if that was always the correct answer. Ok, yeah, I just got a time where all 3 answers were 'Return to Life', so it can definitely be either, depending on the dialogue and circumstances.

I had to choose the destiny for a Naaru during this WQ.
Although the correct answer is to return it to life, it seems strange.
Like demons with the Twisting Nether, Naarus should go in the Light astral plane no ?

I had to turn back a lich because his phylactery was working and Kyrians do not mess into mortals' fates.

Hi all

On THis WQ You need to answer 3 times correct by pressing on 1 from 2 bells/Limbo: Pass to Shadowlands and Return to Life. In My WQ I had tro press 3 times on Pass to Shadowlands. If you answer wrong you will get dmg 27% of HP xD and Disoriented for 4 sec. Answers are not same for every all is depend of dialoge.

They had me return a klaa'xi back to life because a necromancer was "disrupting the balance of life and death". Umm...what?

They also made a huge deal about Kyrian "bearers" (carries souls to Arbiter for judgement) withholding their own judgement of souls while performing this MOST IMPORTANT of duties. So why does she comment on the death of a farmer who exclaims "I have to protect my family!" as being "overbearing and overprotective, his death was timely?"

This world quest is whack.

Some rules of thumb for which option to pick:

If they shouldn't have anything to do with the shadowlands to begin with, return them to life
If things would be improved by returning them to life, send them to the shadowlands, and vice versa
If there's an option that fundamentally contradicts the logic shown in Uther's Afterlives short, pick it
And if you otherwise can't tell, go for the option that would require the worst sort of 'It was their time' logic possible. Try to make it as arbitary as possible.

You can use a Goblin Glider Kit from the tip of the eastern wing of Elysian Hold (where the East-side Larion is that will fly you down to the surface) to get to this World Quest!
(In Japanese, we say "chyoudo-ii"; translating that is difficult, but it's basically meaning "exactly perfect", which the Goblin Glider Kit is for getting to Limbo from Elysian Hold :3)

This WQ is so stupid... essentially bad guys are brought back to life, while the good were sent to the Shadowlands against their wishes because "it was their time"...

I like this World Quest - it shows just how alien the Kyrian is to us as mortals, and why it is so important that they forget their mortal biases before ascending..

A child dying of a sickness? The Kyrian even admit that returning a child is a natural response, but they have to look at the greater picture: If children can't die, imagine all the trouble they'd cause, entering their adult years with a sense of immortality. Not to mention that once it gets discovered that the children can't die, child soldiers start to sound like a prospect for any evil overlord; sure, they can't stand up to their adult counterparts one on one, but they don't have to - they're immortal, and children are easily manipulated.
(As an aside, this also means the only reason we can't kill children in game is due to real-life censorship to maintain the game's 'T' rating)

A commander dying to foolishness while battling a necromancer's forces, a necromancer who was specifically disrupting the balance of life and death? Back to the world of the living with you; the Kyrian's sacred duty is to ensure the balance between life and death, and the commander is in a prime position to see it restored, effectively acting as their proxy.
It also gives a reason for why we keep coming back ourselves: We have died over and over, yet fighting the good fight, and having more in you to keep on fighting, seems to earn a pass from the Kyrian. Without knowing it, we've been aiding the Shadowlands every single time we were told "it is not yet your time" and accepted that. Arthas, Deathwing, Garrosh, The Legion - all would see the natural balance disrupted, and the Kyrian saw that we weren't ready to give up each time we died.

A farmer who was ambushed by bandits, worried about his family, or an orc who fell in battle protecting others? If everyone who were worried about their loved ones were allowed back, we end back with the whole 'having something to protect being a surefire way to immortality'.
The orc in particular also brings a second angle into it: Orcs are a warrior culture, their battlecry is literally 'victory or death'. One wonders if they'd be happy with being given a second chance after having earned an honorable death.

A Lich who has gotten killed too many times for them to stomach, yet their phylactery is still intact? Tough #$%^, the Kyrian can't allow emotion to influence their judgement and your soul isn't able to move on. Get rid of that phylactery, then we'll talk.
Speaking of emotion - one of the souls is a Kal'dorei who died in the burning of Teldrassil. It was her time, yet the Arbiter was broken at this point, meaning the only eternity waiting for her was The Maw - and yet the Kyrian carried her to Oribos regardless. Two interpretations of that

Something from another plane of existence aside from the living world? Not the Kyrian's charge, they don't go to the Shadowlands.
One outlier is the creatures bound to the Emerald Dream, who go to Ardenweald - and it seems this connection overrules everything else in the Arbiter's judgement: Wild gods, nature spirits, etc - If you were somehow tied to the cosmic force of life, you go to Ardenweald before heading right back to the Emerald Dream.

A Death Knight, bound to the servitude of the Lich King? In the same vein as the Lich above, the soul is already spoken for and can't pass on, no matter how much it would want to.

A human, hearing the call of the Val'kyr and begging for the Kyrian to take them to their final rest? This one surprised me the most - we already know that the Kyrian don't let emotions affect their judgement, but it also seems they have some kind of respect for the Val'kyr - quote: "Even if they are not our true kin, their call must be honored"
One can surmise this counts for any Val'kyr, whether Odyn, Helya, Lich King, or Sylvanas aligned - the soul in question is a human who supposedly went on to be forcefully raised into undeath, once again centering the Kyrian not as 'good' or 'evil', but maintainers of a balance beyond mortality.
The Kyrian also don't seem to view undead as any different from the living. An undead being is not a 'trapped soul' so much as it is just another being that hasn't truly died yet. Considering they work with souls this does makes sense; A soul is a soul regardless of whether the body was living or undead and, quote: "Even the undead cannot escape death forever."
That last line does a little to give reason to the actions of Sylvanas. She's undead, yet wants to stay out of the Maw's torments forever. Undeath is no guarentee of that, she can still die - so the one way she could ensure that she never experienced the Maw's torments.. was to go to the Maw and work with its tormentors to break the whole connection between life and death - If she didn't, then when she died, the Kyrian would ferry her to Oribos like any other

A dog? There's been some theological debate in our real world whether or not animals possess souls - and if they do, whether or not they go the same place as human souls upon their death (Because most religions speak only on salvation/redemption/afterlife/the beyond/etc of Man) - and thus whether or not they will reunite with their owners eventually. Warcraft's take? Yes. Pets have souls, and yes, there's an afterlife waiting for them.
The existence of Sinrunner Blanchy, however, proves that animals are not excempt from any of the 4 seen afterlives. Therefore it is no guarentee that a pet and their owner will see each other in the afterlives assigned to them - although given the Arbiter's infinite wisdom in judging souls, it's highly likely she at least considers 'Pet owner' as part of her judgement.

Not sure if this is a mistake or glitch or whatever, but I found this to be very amusing, nonetheless.

One of the souls to be judged is a dog, which barks and growls. Suddenly, Watcher Jacintha (who is overseeing the souls being judged) starts to bark and growl, too!

As far as I'm concerned, Jacintha only has this kind of interaction with the dog.

If you just started a Kyrian alt and are trying to figure out any consistent logic to this quest, you are in for some comedy.

"I desperately need to return to life!" = tough, you're dead, off to Shadowlands with you

"oh well, I died, guess it was my time" = nope, you get to return to life

And just when you think you've figured it out, they throw in completely random stuff, like characters from the Firelands don't pass to the Shadowlands.

Basically, whatever seems like the worst option, pick that one until you memorize all the answers (there's 15 of them, in 5 groups of 3 that always run together)

I do a lot of switching covenants and noticed this quest is not available whenever my DH goes Kyrian. Is there something that needs unlocked first? I see it on my hunter who has always been Kyrian. All renowns are at 80
