This quest is part of the Death Rising story line

Doing this quest was actually fun with those Reanimated Protectors's around.
To do this quest you need to kill Vile-Torurer which will provide you with Torturer's key.
These Torturer's key can then be used to free the Argen Hippogryph Rider's

Don't be like me and try to click on the Argent Hippogryph Rider and wonder why you aren't freeing them. You actually have to target the Argent Hippogryph Rider and then open your bags and use the Torturer's Key (Vile Torturer) to actually free the Hippogryph Riders.

Note: The dudes in the cages "Tortured Scouts" don't count/give credit.

Edit: It appears that an addon was preventing me from clicking on the Argent Hippogryph Riders and having to manually use the key on them from my bags. You should normally be able to mouse over the Argent Hippogryph Riders and a yellow hand will pop up to free them if you have the required key in your inventory.

Having problems with the rescued Riders actually counting. They get released, then run off, jump on Hippogryphs but they aren't counted.

Anyone else having this issue?

Description

Maintaining a watchful eye on the Cult of the Damned has proven challenging... and perilous. Several of our hippogryph riders recently ran afoul of the cult's winged terrors. Though a few were able to escape, the others were captured and brought to Aldur'thar. Do what you can to free them from their captors. We cannot afford to lose any more of our forces.
