To complete this quest you need loot Nox Root from mushrroms in the floor.

When you pick up this quest, DO NOT BLINK out of the cave... You are going to blink through the textures and end up in a falling-disconnect loop...

The roots don't show up on your minimap (even as an herbalist), but do have the quest-marker glow in-world. Doing a rough loop of the border of the quest area got me all the roots I needed with relatively little combat.

Evidentially they put in this quest just in case, by this point, if you had any doubts these quests are time consuming garbage.

If they had made the number of mushrooms 6 maybe...

There are tons of mobs here, tons of pats and the mushrooms are hard to find.

Just an fyi, there are Banners around that if you "capture" them you'll have to defend them against 3 waves of mobs. As far as I can tell, you get zero reward if you win. You just see some text that says The Hunt has gained ground against the Drust.

Boy, I sure got tired of killing the same things, over and over and over and over... It stuff like this that makes it hard to believe that Blizzard didn't just decide, "OK, no much to it, but if just popular the area with so many mobs, so they have to kill a couple just to get to the next point...."

I just completed this quest by riding/running along the inner edge of the quest area as shown on the mini map. One or two were a few paces away. from the perimeter, but it went fast.

It's not a root, it's not a plant, it's a freakin' mushroom! Who is worse at biology: Blizzard or the druid who sent me after them?

Collect 12 Nox Root from Darkreach in Ardenweald.

Description

In order to perform the ritual, I will need some nox root from Darkreach. It is a unique plant that only grows within soil that has been corrupted by Drust magic. Darkreach lies to the west, not far from my den. What was once a peaceful, verdant grove is now filled with blight and ruin. I will travel to the Heart of the Forest to prepare the ritual. Meet me there when you have gathered the nox root.
