I am currently unable to click on all but one of the grapple shrooms, getting the Invalid Target error. FYI for others who come here with the same issue. I will submit a bug report.

This quest seems like it spawns a bunch of extra grappling growths, but those don't actually work. However, if you mouse over a grappling growth and don't see the quest progress show up, those grapple points work properly. Also, keep in mind you can use door of shadows to teleport across some mushrooms if you don't see any working grapple growths where you want to go.

Grappling growths should all work correctly as of a hotfix today.

Since i wasn't able to find a non-bugged grappling growth for so long. I have decided to climb up the tower where you gather books for Archival Protection side story in Maldraxxus, There is a balcony upstairs where you can glide down and gather the mushrooms.

Lacy Bell Morel are the ones in bastion, they're are tiny and spawn on the waters edge. very easy to miss if you don't know what to look for. almost the same color of the rocks but they are looted in clusters of 2-6 so its not too bad

This quest is still a little annoying, particularly in Maldraxxus. The grapples are really hard to find. And you need to drop and find other areas to get all the mushys.

The ones in Bastion are tiny and easy to miss but at least there's batches of them so you get more than one per collect.

The frills in Ardenweald are just a matter of running round with the buff on to find them, easy.

Don't be an idiot like me and forget to use the bag she gives you. It acts as a temporary "find herbs" buff which makes locating the mushrooms way easier.

for maldaxxus: ride to 46-24 .. then the small "path" up the hill to 44.94, 22.53 .. then venthyr teleport up on the shroom. then use the "bag" quest icon to see the feather caps on top of the giant shrooms. here you find like 3-5 ..

at 47.32, 30.92 is a grapping ankor too in maldraxxus here u find 10+

You pick up this quest from Melody Madcap in Maldraxxus. I'm not quite sure what the requirements are to have it become available.

The resulting option in your Ember Court adds +Dangerous and +Humble.

For clarification - click the quest bag to get a buff to "find" mushrooms. They will appear as yellow dots on your mini-map. I'm an herbalist, so I saw them without clicking the bag - but the buff makes the yellow dots a bit larger.

In Maldraxxus around 44, 22 - you'll notice small sparkly mushrooms on the larger mushroom - those are actually grappling hooks that you click on to get on top of the large mushrooms. There you will find the feather caps. Frustratingly, I wasn't able to grapple between many of the mushroom tops even though I could see feather caps over on other mushrooms. I tried running along the stems that connect some of the mushrooms, but that didn't work because I couldn't climb on top of the mushroom once I got across. I fell off twice and died. I wasted so much time, the feather caps respawned where I'd already picked them, so I grabbed those instead of wasting more time trying to grapple between.

In Bastion you'll collect lacy bell morels south of Hero's Rest in the Garden of Respite, around 49, 56. Click the bag again and you'll see the mushrooms on the mini-map. They spawn on the ground, on the water's edge and I got 2-6 each time. They look like small sparkly morels.

In Ardenweald go just east of Tirna Vaal around 67, 37 for the violet frills. These also spawn on the ground and look like a purple capped mushroom. I saw exactly four of them in the quest area and you loot one at a time.

Once you buy the "Staff: Waiters" option from Temel, you get this quest unlocked to complete to access the third refreshment option.

For the Maldraxxus portion- I see multiple comments about waiting for respawns, but I have been waiting for five minutes and haven't seen any.

This quest is the most tedious and frustrating thing I have done in the game, so my main suggestion is approach it with patience. It would not be that bad if you needed fewer herbs.

At 40, 31 I ran partially up the "bridge" (it's not really one, there are invisible walls to stop you from running up it) and then used Door of Shadows to get on top of the mushroom. There were 3 on top of this one and then you can grapple to a nearby mushroom which also has 3

At 41, 29 you can use Door of Shadows to climb the mini mushrooms around the larger one. Then turn around and grapple to the mushroom behind. I found 3 there. Then I turned around and grappled to the tallest mushroom which had 5(!).

I hope that these tips help someone because this quest took me nearly 2 hours. If herbs showed up on my mini map there were no grapple points near them.

Here's a few pointers that I don't see:

* When looking for the Feather Cap notice on your map that it's only in a certain quest area. There was a grappling hook on a mushroom right behind the quest giver, I went up there and went to about 5 mushrooms and never saw the Feather Cap. That's because I was not in the quest area.

* Once you go to the quest area you'll see grappling hooks that actually have the Quest on their tool tip. Those are where the Feather Cap mushrooms are.

* The buff from using the quest bag allows you to see the mushrooms on your mini map, but you can see them fine without it.

* For Violet Frill it's very straight forward. You just need to go to the quest area (they're only in the quest area on your map). Use the quest bag to see them on your mini map, they're pretty spread out.

* Lacy Bell Morel is the easiest of all. You finally get more than one mushroom per node...

Something is amiss with this quest in the Maldraxxus portion. I got a few of them, and I can see some more feathercap mushrooms but they phase out as I approach them. The buff is still on from the bag, but they disappear as I get closer. It's like I get sharded or something as I near range to interact with one. Relogged, turned off all mods, no WQs or bonus areas are active in the area. I am at a loss. I am about to try getting some of the other ones to see if zoning somehow resets it.

I had not realized the fame of my fungi had reached so far. I'd be delighted to provide a mushroom feast to the Ember Court! Hmmm... I will need you to collect some rare specimens and will loan you my favorite foraging bag. It will help you find the very best fungi. It's never failed me. Let's see, I need tiny lacy bells from Bastion and some of those Ardenweald fancy purple frills. From the very tops of our mushrooms here I will need the feather caps. You'll need to grapple your way up there.
