I learned the hard way, if you use the Aqueous Material Accumulator when there isn't a Condensed Mucus around it gives you a moderate amount of damage. It gives damage too when you use it to get the slime. However, don't do like I did. I kept hitting it three times because of the three slimes. But you only need hit it once. The more you hit it without a slime around to take it, the higher the debuff and the faster you die.

I must say though, I like the new ghost form we have.

This quest is not working for me today. I am killing the congealed mucus but no slimelets are dropping for me to acquire.

How to do Further Gelatinous Research:

speak with Project Lead Allen to grab Aqueous Material Accumulator
kill Congealed Plague and use Aqueous Material Accumulator to collect Slime
do it until collect 30 Slimes

If you die, speak with questgiver again. He will put you in correct phase.

First speak first with Project Lead Allen He will give you Aqueous Material Accumulator.Then go and slay Congealed Plague, Condensed Mucus and other glutes, from their bodies will come out Slimelet use one them Aqueous Material Accumulator.

If you have full inventory when speaking with quest giver you won't get the quest item, you will however still get the buff and the backpack will show but you cant complete the quest. To fix this make sure you have a free inventory slot, leave the area and grab the quest item again.

You need to complete the "Decaying Situation" bonus objective to able to complete this WQ.

The bonus objective will phase you out from the WQ zone...

Congealed Plague's weren't spawning for me when I had left the quest area to go kill a rare over at Plague Watch.
I tried talking to Project Lead Allen for the quest item again or to at least put me in the proper phase, didn't work.
So I ended up leaving Maldraxxus completely and when I had come back I was put in the proper phase.

If anyone else is having trouble using the vacuum, for me it only worked if I clicked it from within my bags / with my bags open. The icon for it on the quest log didn't work for me : )

Kill big slimes. 1-3 little slimes pop out, hit the vacuum.

If you accidently step outside the zone, you can lose the quest item and have to return to the guy you got it from, Project Lead Allen, for another. If this happens, you will also no longer see the slimes you need to kill. Just return for another Accumulator and the slimes will reappear. You do NOT lose your progress.

The small slimes that you can collect drop from every big slime that you hit, INCLUDING slimes that were tapped by the other faction.

My Inventory is full, leaving the area or relog works. I can then collect the item again.

Went to do this quest today and it's severely broken. I talked to Allen to get the accumulator, but it doesn't show up in my bags and the quest disappears from my quest log, but I can see the slimes when it phases in. If I leave the area, it resets the phase and I can talk to Allen again to get the accumulator, but the same thing just happens again. I'm so sick of these broken quests.

Anyone else notice that the slimes are feast or famine? It's really annoying... they're either all over the place or not there at all. Blizz really needs to fix this.

If you lose the backpack for whatever reason talk to Project Leader Allen at 65.4, 54.8 and he will give you another backpack!

You don't have to be of the same faction that tags a slime. As long as you do damage, you will get the slimelets.

If you find that the plague organisms have disappeared, go back to the quest assigner, and tell him "Yes, I will assist"

Don't bother mass-killing. Blizz can't count. You will still only get up to 3 credits.
