As of 10-26-2020 you cannot complete the quest, there is no Cudgelface at the turn in location as marked on the maps. This quest is a gateway quest to the Venthyr campaign, so cannot make any progress on that.

Thank you Aphiis. The turn in point for this quest is actually on the bridge above the marked location on the map.

In order to turn in the quest, go to 48.11, 35.50 located in Menagerie of the Master, follow all the way up and take the first left on the bridge. Voila!

If you have unlocked the first level of the Mirror Network, the portal to The Eternal Terrace will take you pretty close, although on the opposite side of where you turn in the quest.

If you find yourself stuck in the shapeshift form after handing over the invitation, you can remove it by either getting detected by the guards patrolling the area, or taking some fall damage.

Blizzard gated the progression that you'll get the Transport quests about the same time as the Invitation quests

As part of the Ventyr Campaign Quests, I would recommend doing the Mirror Attunement quests especially for the Countess one, vs looking for the ? on the map and flying to Menagerie and dying many many times :)

There is an elevator at /way 57.4 33.5. Go up and turn left to get to the Bridge of Temptations where the dredger Cudgelface waits.

This quest is why I absolutely cannot stand levelling for the last few expansions. Every map is a maze filled with different levels and underground floors...

I'm sure most of us just ran to the spot on the ground. Half of those people ran to the wrong bridge that didn't connect to the correct bridge, then we had to run all the way around to find the right bridge.

This zone is more complicated than Beijing, like wtf.... What happened to zones like BC Nagrand? or Hellfire? Or every classic zone ever? Literally every expansion the maps get more and more complicated, and less and less aesthetic. It's absurd

Invitation for the Countess

Find Cudgelface on the Bridge of Temptation leading to the Eternal Terrace.

Description

The Countess, Harvester of Desire. Her wits are sharper than most swords. While I have never seen her carry a weapon, you must assume she is never unprotected. Her mansion mirrors my own, on the Northeastern side of Castle Nathria. Her dominion was that of the Castle Ward, and it is her authority that keeps the nobles in line. She will appreciate a secret message. I will send a dredger ahead with a plan to infiltrate her party. Meet him on the Bridge of Temptation. Good luck.
