I had an experience where I killed a low level target in this area. I thought they wandered in a bad spot, but it turns out they were questing here. Additionally, they were Alliance. I am Alliance, so it confused me as to why I could target them for combat. This must be a free for all mode. Nevertheless, it did not count towards my quest completion.

This quest will only show up on the world map when you are *in* Bastion and with War Mode enabled.

Isn't the world quest area below Hero's Rest slightly towards west-south-west?
what are those objective coordinates on the map above?

The yellow outline questing area is slightly misleading as there are plenty of beasts around /way 51 41
near the Baedos rare. Basically anywhere where the area is called Firstborne's Bounty is valid, so no need to constrain yourself to the tiny area outlined by the quest.

You cannot see the Shadowlands PVP World Quests without switching WM on and visiting the respective zone (i.e. flying to Bastion for Express Dominance). But the wowhead WQ page shows them when they're active (PVP denoted by cross swords). They appear to be on 6 hour timers, so if you're farming Impressing Zo'Sorg, you can potentially farm 3-4 per day.

Edit: it appears that this method has become a little erratic but it still works most of the time and I especially recommend it if you normally play with WM off and want to avoid wasting time switching WM on and checking in-game map. Even the checking in-game map method is erratic (not showing WQ until actually in it), so if you're a WM on player then best use both methods if you're in a hurry to complete!

Glimmerhoof Cloudstriders are special here, causing them to submit gives 5% credit, killing them before they can submit gives 10% credit, and if you had DoTs on them when they submit and that kills the mobs, you gain both credit gains for 15%.
Especially when above level 60, you can either oneshot them, or throw DoTs on them and poke them so they submit, but then die from the DoTs.
