If you are used to put out the item (crystal) before you starting to kill your target you need to be fast because the crystal despawn in like 3 sec and you don´t get credit if you are to slow.
Just relax and do it after the you killed the minions.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 A Common Peril	Start quest from Baroness Draka 50.3 67.7 You need to go to Baroness Vashj and speak with Her
2 Glorious Pursuits	Capture Mephiles the Loyal use Vashj's Signal when He will be on low HP then kill 6 Morbid Disciple. Do this quest together with Prey Upon Them.
3 Prey Upon Them	You need to collect 3 Anima-charged Maldracite 63.3 49 - 62 52 - 63.2 52.6
4 War is Deception	Place 3 Place Anima-charged Crystal then speak with Baroness Vashj to start ritual
5 Entangling Web	Find 8 Maldracite Dust you can find them in Jar of Ground Maldracite. Do this quest together with Tainted Cores and Vaunted Vengeance
6 Tainted Cores	Pick up all 3 Depleted Crystal then use Fractured Anima Crystal on 12 corpses of Morbid Ritualist.
7 Vaunted Vengeance	You need to find 3 Ritual Drafts: Xeeli's Ritual Drafts drop from Architect Xeeli 72 48.6 Lye's Ritual Drafts drop from Architect Lye 73 53.6 Halen's Ritual Drafts drop from Architect Halen 69.5 52.8 - Return all 3 quests to 73.4 44.5
8 Seek Your Mark	Put 3 Tainted Crystal around then press on Ritual Focus is on mid
9 Straight to the Heart	Press on Ritual Focus Movie will start after finish kill Mor'Bitan and pick up Rune of Guile. Wait few sec to finish quest.
10 Her Rightful Place	"Fly to 50.4 67.8 stand on blue mark on ground and use Resonate ( when you will stand on blue martk extra bar with this spell will appear ) to Empower the Rune of Guile then speak with Baroness Draka to finish storyline."

For anyone not being familiar with the background of the name of this quest: Tainted Core were a core mechanic in the fight of Lady Vashj, final boss of the Serpentshrine Cavern Raid during The Burning Crusade. A rather annoying one, to be precise, as the Tainted Elemental dropping it would despawn 15 seconds or so after killing it; all the while tons of other adds would have to be managed. To make things even better, originally the player holding a Tainted Core was rooted, requiring them to throw it to another raid-member within range thus building a daisy-chain all the way to one of the pylons where they had to be used in order to deactivate Lady Vashj's shield.

PS: This is also why Baroness Vashj, her dead counterpart within Maldraxxus (Shadowlands), refers to the hero as being the person having killed her.

Description

This lich seeks a reward for his assault on the House of Eyes. But the power he craves will be his downfall. We will use our knowledge of his secret ritual to lure him out of the House of Rituals. Take these crystals, <name>. Charge them with anima reclaimed from Mor'Bitan's slain minions. But fracture them first, so that they shatter as the ritual nears completion... but not before Mor'Bitan believes that it has begun. That is when we will strike.
