'Mature Gorm' doesn't seem to count all of the adults in the area that spawn - and of those that do, they don't always spawn.

Low spawn rate, low rate of fun.

You need to look on the ground and pull the Mites from the ground.

This WQ is not so good, the respawn rate is low, and there are always a lot of people.

For "Burrowing Mite extracted" look on the ground and you will see little tentacle tips poking out, wiggling. Those are what you click on and pull out like the various stretchy vine things. Kind of hard to not aggro the bigger mobs when there are so many everywhere.

If there are a lot of the big gorms around, find the tentacle tips near the outside.

After you pull it out it aggros on you, but killing them isn't necessary to get credit, so I just kept running.

If there are several around, you can chain them and then drop aggro or run away or just kill them.

On This WQ You need to do 2 things:

1. Pull out 8 Burrowing Mite Leg is small thing on ground.
2. Slay 12 Mature Gorm.

This seems to have just been a display error, but in case it happens for anyone else; if you get stuck on 6/8 Burrowing Mites, and doing any more doesn't add to your quest total, log out and back in. When I did that, all of a sudden the quest was showing me complete at 6/6, and after killing the last few Mature Gorm needed, the WQ completed.

The number of burrowing mites is incorrect, it's 6 not 8. Mine completed once I'd pulled up 6 and killed 12.

A quick tip:

When you click on a mite leg, mount up first THEN run. Voila, the add didnt spawn!

This is another one of these nightmare quests on an unbalanced server. I positively groan when entering the area and it is nothing but the other faction tagging everything. About the only thing this quest is good for is skinning as I am always clean up on aisle 10 hoping something will spawn close to me.
After 45 minutes of running around looking for mobs and skinning everything, I got

153 desolate leather
6 callous hides
5 heavy desolate leather
48 pallid bones
and a heavy callous hide

So there's always this!

When you are pulling out burrowing mites, there is actually a cast that you can interrupt by hitting the escape key or using a stopcast macro.
This is a failsafe way to avoid spawning any burrowing mites while still getting credit for "extracting them". ^^

Ardenweald Lag at its worst here. my characters spend more of their time in looting crouch pose than actually removing pests

Sooo much skinning to be had here if lots of other players are doing it at the same time. Almost makes it hard to complete quest yourself because of constant running around to skin other people's kills before they expire.
