If you're just looking to get the new weapon appearances (they're worth it for transmog!), go and make an allied race DK (I'm not sure if this counts for core races too,I didn't bother to check), turn in the initial quest and it should give you the weapon you chose and adds the rest to your transmog wardrobe. You can delete that DK afterwards if you wish.

The Lich King's VA for the intro scene:

The Lich King: In life, you were a hero to your people. For their sake, you made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Lich King: But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you. A price the living cannot pay.
The Lich King: This is the hour of your dark rebirth. Death's power grows. Rise and become my champion.

The male pandaren npc has the same voice as the human. It probably didn't make sense to get new lines recorded just for this one quest but it still sounded a little funny.

Friendly reminders if you are not seeing the button to execute the command: 1) /reload and 2) you really have to walk right into the Lich King to get it to show (or at least I did on Highmountain Tauren). Reloading/logging did nothing on their own for me, but after the 3rd time reloading, I ran right into him rather than right before him and only then did the extra button appear. Easy enough, but if you just expect /reload to do it, you'll be stuck until you practically stand on the Lich King. I always suggest reloading for any quest with an extra button, as they rarely just pop up for me when accepting quests. Hope this helps some other poor, confused players, because there weren't any immediate comments on this when I looked and I was out there longer than I care to admit!

I'm shocked that this is all there is. When I read about "new DK starting experience," I kind of expected more than "here's your sword, get going..."

For Quest Collector:

When you create an Allied Death Knight, you'll be put in Icecrown. Go up the stair to Lich King, you'll be given Death's Power Grows. Swear Fealty to Lich King, then you will get: Alliance: Defender of Azeroth or Horde Defender of Azeroth. Speak to Highlord Darion Mograine and report to duty, he will create Death Gate, you'll be in Org or SW.

Once in SW / Org, go to Command Board to turn in Alliance: Defender of Azeroth or Horde Defender of Azeroth.

After that is done, USE your Death Gate in your spellbook and it will take ya to Naxx where Death Knight resides. Go to Highlord Darion Mograine and from there, you will get Runeforging 101.

If you're looking for a matching, second blade as a frost spec, first complete or skip the Broken Shore, Fight the Legion quest obtained at the Hero's Call Board or the Warchief's Command Board in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, respectively. Next, after obtaining your Dalaran Hearthstone from Archmage Khadgar, you'll automatically be pushed a quest, shortly thereafter, that starts your class hall campaign. Finally, when you port to the Ebon Hold, you'll find Quartermaster Ozorg on the second floor. He sells all of the starting armor and weapons, among others.

Description

Listen closely, <name>. A time of great destruction lies on the horizon that will challenge our very existence. Now more than ever, we must rise to the defense of Azeroth. It is for this reason I have expanded the ranks of my champions to include your people. Your sacrifice sets you apart from all others. Hold your head high. Forevermore, you will be a death knight of the Ebon Blade. Now swear your fealty.
