Severely buggy mobs. Sitting at over 700k HP then suddenly drops in increments to 10% heal up and then in less than a second from 700k HP to 0. Combat log shows no damage greater than 15k. It really just doesn't make sense. Unless the Bloodshapers have an instant kill ability which I have yet to see them cast.
Figured it out, my ElvUI was hiding the debuff. All of these mobs have a stacking Debuff called Anima Infusion at 19 stacks you have less than 1k HP and at 20 stacks you instantly die.

You can't turn in directly to the quest giver; click on the little 'feeder' in the corner of the pen, then the quest giver question mark turns yellow.

Requires you to collect 8 Vial of Purified Anima to feed your larva with. These can be looted from Dokani Shadewalker or Dokani Bloodshaper during Mogu assaults in Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Relatively few targe mobs for this quest, crammed into a tiny area, with a drop rate for the quest item of maybe 1 in 5 or 6 kills, and a stacking debuff applied by the mobs that insta-kills you. The latest in a grand tradition of "player punishment" quests.

The whole thing is made substantially faster if you grab one of the nearby Anima Golems as a bodyguard, but that requires an Anima Orb to drop off these mobs - and it also has a very low drop rate (I'd finished half the quest before I got one).

On the plus side, this quest alone will take care of half the current assault progress bar by the time you're done :)

Only the Shadewalkers and Bloodshapers drop the quest item. If you can pick them off without aggroing the other mobs, you will need to kill fewer. I got all the quest items at 29% on the assault.

Collect 8 Vials of Purified Anima from Dokani mogu in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Description

I have heard that a clan of the mogu called the Dokani have mastered the harnessing of life force into a substance they call "anima." If this stuff is indeed life condensed into a liquid form, then it could have spectacular properties when applied to our aqir larva. Go see if you can bring back some of this anima in a form that we can use. We'll see if our little friend here likes it!
