You can't leave the zone while in Ben's body. I wanted to see if I could go to Stormwind as a horde. You cannot. haha

You will find a neutral version of Magister Solomon while in possession of Ben's body.
You can't target him, but you CAN kill him still by shooting your trusty shotgun in front of him.
So, uh, sorry, Ben... Are you fancy of vampires...?

"A Day in the Life" is, of course, arguably the greatest Beatles song. I didn't notice any Beatles references while playing it, other than perhaps, filling in the holes in Millie's garden. Maybe there's a hidden reference in 'Ben Howell' that I'm missing.

Horde players may want to purchase a limited quantity leatherworking pattern while doing this quest.

Pattern: Black Whelp Tunic is sold only by Amy Davenport.

If you try to drown Ben in the lake.... It spawns you as a ghost of your character at the graveyard and when you go back to collect your body, you are no longer in the vehicle of Ben and cannot complete the quest.

Don't bother binding your hearthstone to the inn here. It'll fail to cast. Transfer Aborted: Instance not found.

I absolutely loved this quest line. Hadn't been that engaged with a quest in a long while. Felt very much like... Warcraft.

So they pop up a warning about leaving the "combat area" when you begin to stray too far away from Lakeshire, but nothing actually enforces this. (Assuming you do this before taking control of Ben.) There is a mechanic to teleport you back, but funnily enough, it doesn't work if you're mounted! It shows a "you are mounted" error message as if you tried to do something yourself, and nothing happens. They block you from crossing the bridge, but there's nothing stopping you from going the long way around the lake.
A little ways past the gryphons (where the flight master would be), the afterlife color filter disappeared, but I was still in an instanced version of the Eastern Kingdoms - couldn't fly. I kept going, and was able to make it all the way to Stormwind without issue. There were zero NPCs anywhere, nor other players. Completely empty. The mage tower doesn't let you inside the portal room - the entrance simply doesn't work. The Cataclysm portals were not present. The Stockades entrance did not function.
Same story heading north - the road is blocked by wagons, but nothing prevents you from simply going around them. The color filter disappears shortly after passing the wagons. You can go all the way into Blackrock Mountain, but of course none of the instance entrances function. Interestingly, they aren't even visually present, unlike the Stockades entrance. The BWL orb was also not there.

The guild window was blank for my location, and /who said I was in "Unknown." Logging out would show a blank location on the character select screen. Logging in warped me back to Lakeshire.

Description

During this trial, you will experience his final moments before his death. When you are prepared, you shall see how this soul passed.
