There are some stealth-ed assassins wandering about the quest area, a group of acolytes in the lower jungle section, and some mounted on flying worms.

Mob density feels quite low currently and its not a 100% drop - hopefully spawn rate or count will be buffed soon.

What worked best for me was mounting up, but staying on the ground, and running around the quest area. You'll aggro the stealthed mobs as you run past and then you can stop and kill them (they drop the quest item), and you can just keep on running or fly up if you aggro anything else (e.g., the amathet mobs which don't drop the quest item). I found this much easier than flying around the area looking for respawns, which are slow (at least for now).

I found a courtyard at 50, 72 in Neferset City was a good place to do this daily. Several Black Empire Assassin spawns and an obelisk that had Acolyte of N'Zoth spawning close by, too.

These quests are brutal. I should not be wasting an hour flying around in circles trying to find these mobs untagged with such a low drop-rate. What an awful time sink everything in this patch is.

try 61.90, 70.73 (upper level) there are a bunch of the NPCs that drop the writings. respawn timer is decently short.

ETA: as of the most recent Uldum assault this seems to have been removed and/or is tied to a rare event. thanks blizz.

As a hunter with rank 3 Focused Azerite Beam, I go to 61.37 70.41. There is an event there that right off the bat spawn lots of adds that drop the quest item. I would MD to my pet with Barrage and use the Beam to kill 97% of them, burn the rest down. The whole group drops 4 or the quest item each time. The spawn rate was 3-4 minutes. Three pulls and I was done, no running around and fighting others for spawns.

That's the kind of quest that becomes the final straw to quit the game. It is completely uninteresting and it is nothing new and it's completely a grind. It would be MORE FUN to not have to do that and get its benefits because there's so much else to do in this game that is better than this mundane grind (even doing a random battleground would be more fun).

Description

In my visions I hear... voices... Their words are nonsense, but over time patterns arise. I believe there is something important behind what these voices say, but I have yet to decipher a word. We will need to learn from the source. Find any writings you can among the cultists who travel with these dark creatures. Their ramblings may be the key to understanding the message beneath this madness.
