The quest has to be turned in at Tirna Vaal, not in the cave in Dusty Burrows. This might only happen if you turn in Queen of the Underground first.

The quest says to use the Gormherd Branch on Wild Grom. It does not work on Wild Gormling (small ones) as the name implies but used on the larger ones like the Gorm Slicer.

The Gorm Spewers will still drop the Gorm Gris even if they are not currently stunned with the Gormherd Branch. You only have to hit 'em with the stick once!

Turn in for this quest is inside a burrow. The entrance to the burrow is at 58.86 34.98. The quest giver is inside on the right.

It looks like you're required to hit them at least once with the branch for them to drop the Gris. So no mass pulls!

The Gormherd Branch stuns the Gorms for a few seconds. You can use the Branch more than once on the same target to stun them again, reducing their ability to attack while you're killing them.

I present When a Gorm Eats a God Storyline. This Story line have 10 Quests. This Story line is a part of Sojourner of Ardenweald.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 In Need of Gorm Gris	Quest start from Guardian Kota 62 36 Ardenweald. You need to go to Master Sha'lor 64 38
2 Nothing Goes to Waste	Pick up Depleted Wildseed is on left side from NPC. Then go 65 38 and put on place Depleted Wildseed. Then press on Docile Gormling and pull them in to Depleted Wildseed Do line that 4 times ( They will follow you for few sec some times you need to press two times on 1 worm go get him on place ).
3 Collection Day	Press first on Gloober ( worm on right side from NPC ) then will spown on ground Fresh Gorm Gris pick it up. Go to 65 38 and use Gormherd Branch on 4 Gorged Gormling then slay Agitated Gorm.
4 Delivery for Guardian Kota	Go to see Guardian Kota 62 36 Ardenweald.
5 The Absent-Minded Artisan	Go to 63 32 You will see Gorm Matriarch hiding in ground. Speak with Guardian Kota.
6 Finish What He Started	Use Gormherd Branch on gorm then slay them to get in loot Wild Gorm Gris. Do this quest together with One Big Problem and Burrows Away.
7 One Big Problem	First pick up Gloober 63 30. Then go to cave 62 29 and fight with Gorm Matriarch until 80%. Then move to cave 61 33 and fight with Gorm Matriarch until 30%. Then go to Den 59 34 to finish quest.
8 Burrows Away	Quest start from Gorm Burrow 62 30. You need to Collapse 8 Gorm Burrow
9 Queen of the Underground	Slay Gorm Matriarch.
10 When a Gorm Eats a God	Report back to Droman Tashmur 63 36 in Tirna Vaal. That will finish storyline.

Used the stick on the gorm, nothing happens, gorm proceeds to hand my ass to me.

This quest is actually optional in order to complete the rest of the chain.

If you for some reason don't pick this up (or abandon it) before completing One Big Problem then you won't be able to do it later at all, while leaving an annoying quest marker forever on your world map.

Unless you replay the whole chain through Party Sync.

Finish What He Started

Use the Gormherd Branch to collect Wild Gorm Gris from gorm in the Dusty Burrows.

Description

Finding Sha'lor is our main priority. But there is another opportunity. Take the Gormherd Branch that he dropped. I know he was tinkering with it so that it would work on wild gorm. Use it on the gorm in the burrows, and see if you can collect any of their gorm gris. Don't bother with the little ones; get the really potent stuff from the bigger gorm. Perhaps if we can collect enough, and find that silly sylvar, he will not rush horns-first into the burrows again.
