To complete this quest you need to drain anima from Gilded Cloudstriders.
You need to use provided Anima Drainer while close to a glided cloudstrider.
After the channeling is done mob either runs away or attacks you. You only can drain anima once from a single mob.

As of now, you need to use the Anima Drainer before entering combat. The channel is broken when you take damage.

The channel of Anima Drainer is interrupted by combat. you can get around this by either channeling the docile NPCs without agro'ing them into combat (they will not agro from the channeling); or when your guardian malfunctions and pulls a group he will hold agro and you can channel each one before dps'ing them down.

If the World Quest "Training Regimen" is up, you'll have to complete this one first in order to turn in the quest.

Any form of long CC, something 10 sec or more allows you to complete the channel. After it is done just kill the mob you cc'd to get out of combat :) Happy questing!

The only ones that count are the GUILDED Cloudstriders! They look like a small Antelope. The winged ones don't count.

I present Pride or Unit Storyline. Full Storyline have 16 quests. This is a part of Sojourner of Bastion.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 Success Without Soul	Quest take from Koros in The Eternal Hall Bastion 43 41. You need to fly to Pelodis 54 41
2 Phalynx Malfunction	You need to find Gatamatos He is located on 54 43 and return him to 55 41. You can do this quest together with Resource Drain.
3 Resource Drain	Use Anima Drainer on 5 Gilded Cloudstrider. Do it before fight.
4 We Can Rebuild Him	"First press on Gatamatos 55 41 then go to 54 40. To rebuild you will need: - 3 Forgefire Engineer - 1 Anima Barrel - 5 Reinforced Armor All you can find next to forge. Then you need do 5 Reinforced Armor by pressing on them. then speak with Pelodis"
5 Combat Drills	First press on Gatamatos 55 41 then go to Hall of Beasts 55 42 enterence. Then kill 8 mobs inside. Do this quest together with Laser Location and Superior Programming
6 Laser Location	First press on Gatamatos 55 41 then go to Hall of Beasts 55 42 enterence. Then use spell on Extra Bar when close to gem ( small on ground inside cave ) Gatamatos will get Training Gem you need 6 of them.
7 Superior Programming	Go to Hall of Beasts 55 42 enterence and slay Leonid after enter on left side.
8 Tactical Formation	In main was 1 mid 2 mid 3 back one. then put Gatamatos back to his place.
9 Antiquated Methodology	Go to Nemea 57 39
10 Part of the Pride	Press on 5 Tamed Larion they are around.
11 All Natural Chews	Get 5 Cloudstrider Antler by killing Gilded Cloudstrider. This quest You can do together with Larion at Large
12 Larion at Large	Find Andira and follow Her until able to press on is after return to Nemea 57 39.
13 With Lance and Larion	Slay 5 Cloudfeather Greatwing but Before attack use on them Nemea's Javelin. You can do this quest together with Providing for the Pack.
14 Providing for the Pack	Get 10 Cloudfeather Essence is drop from Juvenile Cloudfeather.
15 On Larion Wings	Jump on Andira and fly thru 10 blue circles.
16 Pride or Unit	Go to 55 39 and pick between Pelodis or Nemea Storyline is finish but After that You can Fly to The Eternal Hall Bastion 43 41 and get new adwenturer ( is depend what did You pick ).

Don't rescue Gatamatos before finishing drawing anima. He can malfunction and attack the cloudstriders and all of them come to fight with Gatamatos. And you after they finish with him... :)

I'm currently levelling my mage and any attempt to drain anima will be immediately interrupted and not count towards quest progress.

Someone else suggested polymorphing the target first so tried that and it worked. (Thanks for the tip!)
