Keep hitting him and throwing the ball. When he gets to 50% health, he'll drop Korinna's Allaying Crook. Don't stick around unless you want to fight him again, he has a very short re-spawn timer. (I say re-spawn, we don't kill him, he just goes friendly, but then quickly turns hostile again.)

Confirmed Kala is located at 45, 56 & 46, 56 You can make the macro /target Kala and sure enough you can Target Kala but Kala is no where to be seen, a Hunter might be able to send their pet to retrieve Kala but players no such luck so far.

Kala is in a cave called Kala's Den, entrance is east and downt he cliff from the marked quest location, why so many say they cant find her but can /tar here she is just below them. I got a phone call and died down in cave took me awhile to figure out how to get back there.

so basically you beat up an animal while distracting it with a toy...
there is a special place in hell for the person who thought this up and i sincerely hope they do not have a pet of their own....

So I was hoping you'd use the toy to distract Kala while you search the lair for the staff. That'd be a neat quest, right?

Sadly, you just beat the animal up until they drop it.

If you have the quest in your log, but clicking on it does nothing and you have no turn-in, go back to the cave. After you "played" with Kala and she flies off, there's a ground spawn (the cloak) that you need to pick up to update the quest and be able to complete it.

As of Dec 5, 2020, there appears to be a bug where despite finishing this chain, you do not get credit for this chain for the achievement Sojourner of Bastion. You can verify if you've completed this quest with the following command:

/script print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(57568))

For some reason there was no arrow to this quest, until you enter the cavern. I had to visit wowhead to see where it was. This is however straight forward if you don't wander away from the questgiver, to do the quest later.
Kala's den Entrance is 49 58.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 Disturbing the Peace	Quest start from Zosime 51 59 Bastion Under cliff. Kill 10 Anima-Starved creatures. You doing this quest together with Distractions for Kala.
2 Distractions for Kala	"Pick up 3 items: - Mister Mikanikos 49 59 - Kala's Slobber Ball 51 58 - Comfy Comfort Pillow 52 58"
3 A Test of Courage	Go to cave 51 56 get inside press on bell Zosime will come and you need to defend Her at end Kala will fly and take yours Korinna's Allaying Crook . After all the confusion go out side cave to finish quest.
4 Tough Love	Go to opposite cave 49 57 and at the end you will find Kala. You need to get mob to 50% HP, To distract mob use spell on extra bar. Then pick up Korinna's Allaying Crook go outside cave and move to Zosime 51 59 Bastion. This quest is last in this storyline.

Ok, I am going to put this here because I sent myself insane about Kala's Ball. Don't worry if it isn't in your bags, when you get close to her, the ball appears on your screen as a usable object.

Description

Heavens! Kala has flown off with Korinna's Allaying Crook! I saw her fly into her den to the west. I must warn you, she can become very protective when she's in there. Please be careful, but do not be afraid to give her some tough love. She is exceptionally resilient. Here, take her slobber ball. It's her favorite and may help to distract her.
