If you're trying to solo this on an undergeared/underplayed character, you can skip saving hobart and killing any trash.

Run to the final arena which for me seemed to evade bug the chasing mobs
Kill Gallywix (it's easier than the test robot).
Walk/die back to the entrance of the scenario, by the entrance helicopter, which nudged it into the final step.

who the hell came up with the idea of making heritage armour questlines really, really easy except for one race where the trash mobs in the final (solo) scenario are more dangerous than group quest bosses? my poor shammy died more times during this questline than in mythics or even battlegrounds

Here is a guide for goblins with low item levels. (Done with a 273 Elemental Shaman)

Stage 1: Do not bother trying to kill the trash. It just takes a long time, and you really don't need to do it. Instead, use your cooldowns and stuns to do a death run into the garage where Hobart is being held. Try to run up the left stairs in the garage and die up on that platform.

Stage 2: When you resurrect, move toward the edge of the platform and you will pull just the orc bodyguard. He doesn't hit very hard with melee. Just face tank him and move out of his frontal cone smashes. Once he's dead, heal up and engage the first boss, Dax Blitzblaster. He hits rather hard with melee, but he is vulnerable to any forms of CC that affect humanoids. Keep him slowed and kite him around the room, using the ramps on the sides to lose him. His only mechanic is where he aims his rifle at you. You just need to have something in between you and it before the cast finishes. The floor of the platforms and the pillars on the ground floor will both work to break line of sight.

Stage 3: Pick up the armor from the chest.

Stage 4: Run to Gallywix. All the trash will leash back and reset once you get inside the stadium. Gallywix has the same mechanics as the other robot you killed in a previous quest. Dodge the missiles and use the extra action button when he starts casting Flamethrower.

I was on my BM hunter, item lvl 341. Hati and carrion bird as pets. I just ran to Hobart and ignored trash. I had my pets start an attack on Dax Blitzblaster while I ran up the steps and put an ice trap on the ogre bodyguard (I think labeled as street thug). I joined my pets to kill Dax then we killed the ogre. For Gallywix I ran past trash. As stated above, he's easier than the test robot. Again I just ran around to avoid his flames and missles. I didn't even use the extra armour button for this. This was a frustrating scenario and I died a few times but everything aforementioned is what worked for me.

okay, Trade Prince Gallywix is immortal for me... he goes to 2 health and stays there, alive and fighting me, forever.

For a hunter with full un-upgraded benthic gear, the Gallywix fight is only intimidating at first. He has the same patterns as the giant mech you had to be earlier, but with only the flamethrower and missiles. When he gets down to 0% health, he will start healing up to about ~200k with no interrupting. He will do this until you deplete his mechs' Azerite stores.
If you die, don't worry. He doesn't reset at all, so just pickup where you were and kick his traitorous ass.

So I didn't know exactly what to do at first, but use the armor on flame thrower, or after he casts it if you get hit. Took me 3 tries because I didn't realize that. Nice thing is that he appears to save his health between deaths.

All the mobs in the scenario appear to scale, which surprised me. Since the heritage armor was originally a level 120 thing and I started it at 50 and am 60 now.

This quest is impossible. It's rigged. I got him down to 1 health 4 different times. He just repairs then one shots me, even using the armor.

When I tried this quest, all during the final fight (with Gallywix), the special ability for the armor would not work. I would try to click on it, but NOTHING HAPPENED.

So, I finally had to copy-and-paste this command into the game:

/click ExtraActionButton1

And that did the trick! No reloading my UI. No quitting and restarting the game. No dropping and re-doing the quest.

If I understand what you all are saying, correctly, it seems to have changed. I went past the battle bot test lab, having been killed there several times, and farther up the road to an area with a picnic blanket, a couple umbrellas, and a couple flamingo ornaments, in the center of a mine field, and no Galiwix. Is that the "arena" you all are talking about?

just did this, and the mechanics are the same, i tried and died twice, lead him onto the mines on the last fight. 2 blasts and he was down enough to activate and bring him down. lvl69 fdk
