To find the reinforced eggs, you have to go back to the quest giver and get turned into a tiny robot by clicking on the glowing box next to him.

How complete Nuke 'Em Norbit:

1. click on Norbit Control Pannel (glowing box next to Dashman Hammerall)
2. use Norbit Rocket or Scrap Bomb to destroy 40x Motospider
3. use Scrap Bomb to destroy 5x Reinforced Sparkweave Egg
4. use Energized Shell if you're dying

Don't expect every exploded egg to add to your quest count. I spent a half hour blowing up "immune" eggs.

Here's a tip: Use the little robot to blown up the five large eggs (and whatever spiders you come across), then exit the vehicle and kill the remaining of the 40 motospiders normally, it's usually much faster than doing it with the robot.

- Don't bother using the first attack. Pull some spiders, put a bomb down, press the shield button. Wait for the bomb to explode.
- The first attack doesn't even one-hit the smallest spiders.
- The first attack can get buggy and stop hitting anything, although the targets are right in front of you. Just move around a little and it will acquire targets again.
- The first attack is a cast which requires you to stand still.
- The shield is only a damage reduce, which means you can still be dazed.
- The shield can also bug out and simply not give you anything but the cooldown.
- The bomb always worked fine for me, but the large spiders are not a one-hit. Be aware of that.

All in all, a horribly designed and buggy vehicle quest.

The last time this one came up all the Reinforced Sparkweave Eggs were tapped by the other faction and had almost no health. I attempted to despawn them by shooting with rocket function, but always got the message "Target lost...resuming search patterns Delta." If you run across the same issue, just drop bombs on them and you'll get credit even if they're already greyed out from being tapped.

Just awful quest execution. This could have been a fun little quest. Instead you get a single useful attack with a 15(!) second cooldown, a second attack that's pretty much useless, and to actively prevent you from doing what would be obvious and pulling a bunch of mobs, dropping a bomb and making this quick, the mobs snare repeatedly. When this comes up in rotation now I just ignore it.

Don't waste your time killing the 40 Motorspiders using the robot. Do it on your own character

To do this quest efficiently, run around in the vehicle, gathering mobs. Take them to the shielded eggs (they're blue) and drop a bomb. Put the shield up. Then repeat. The missile is simply there to aggro the mobs or kill strays.

While the elite spider in the area, 'Mecharantula' does not count towards the 40 kills, the small spiders it spawns DO COUNT.

What i usually do with the Scrap Bomb is that i pull a dozen of them to an egg. 2 birds in one stone right? Cool. (The rocket is absolutely useless btw leaving them at 1% hp). Now im low on HP. I use Energized Shell. What a surprise, it didn't activate yet it went on CD. And this happens ALOT when this quest is up. Its infuriating to say the least.

Quest seems bugged today. The robot I control only seems to last about 10 seconds then expires, even if it was at full health. Tried repeatedly.
*EDIT* Did a /reload and now it's working properly.

If you didn't read the quest text, like I did not, you'll assume this is just a kill task. Nope. You need to flip a switch, then jump into Norbit and drive it around
So - after killing all the spiders, I couldn't find the Scrap Bomb I was supposed to use to kill the eggs. Turns out the Scrap Bomb is Norbit's 3rd ability =)

Accept the quest
Activate the controls to jump into Norbit
Have fun

Notes:

At level 60, the spiders could not do enough damage to me for me to care about them. I simply walked through them all to then plant bombs at egg spawns.
If you do end up in a tight spot and you need to run, simply get out of Norbit. It'll port you back to Dashman Hammerall, and from what *I* saw, the enemies will not follow

Terrible UX bug on 9.2.5. Riding Norbert created a terrible zooming flashing graphic that made it very hard to plant the bombs on the eggs (you can kill the spiders for the world quest without mounting Norbert).

As of 9.2.5 whenever I get turned into a tiny robot the page just keeeps flickering making the quest super annoying and giving me motion sickness... I put in a bug report but doubt anything will be done

As of Patch 9.2.5 it appears that this quest is bugged in the sense that you are constantly in a state of entering the zoomed-in camera (for entering a vehicle) and then zooming out again. This has been tested with several accounts and differing camera settings (since they were also updated in this patch to better combat some accessibility issues with the upcoming Season 4 dungeon rotations).

This has been reported via the 'Submit a Bug' tool by several players whom I tested with but it still appears 'bugged' several weeks later.

The quest can still be completed, but if you are one who is adversely affected by motion sickness, headaches/migraines and/or prone to seizures, I would not recommending doing this quest in the current state until a fix has been made.

The camera bug as described by others in a few comments below is still present as of 26/12/2022, despite many bug reports/tickets by many people over the course of the last 6 months. If you get easily motion sick or currently have a headache, do not attempt this quest. Thank you Activision Blizzard.

I seriously have to wonder what's taking them so long to fix a quest (in the pool of possible Mechagon daily quests, so actively recurring) that's actively making people sick. If fixing it is really that hard/complicated due to jank, the fallback would be as easy as just removing the quest from the potential daily quest pool until it's fixed, to spare any unsuspecting player a potential bout of motion sickness and the Impending Headache, because most (if not all) players won't be checking every single quest's Wowhead article before they attempt it. Blizzard... come on.

Camera bug is still an active issue as of writing this. I pressed the home key to zoom in and it made it a lot more bearable. It still bugged out a bit but it wasn't consistently zooming in as before.

Still bugged.
All workarounds in previous comments can't work since you don't get any abilities when controlling Norbit.

How is this camera bug issue not fixed yet? I'm don't even get motion sickness and damned near threw up doing this.

As of today, this is still bugged. The camera bounces continuously up and down and there are no abilities to use.
Quest was abandoned.

Just did this in its bugged out state. Once in it you can move it around, just focus on the mini map looking for the gold markers which are the eggs you need to destroy. As others noted, spider kills can be done in the open world as your regular character.
