Turn in the daily inside the Junkwatt Depot to get the Recycling Requisition bag. Inside that bag will be the Recycled Crawler Manifold for this quest.

Go to the marked area, anywhere in Junkwatt Depot should be fine, around coordinates 56.00,65.00

Kill any mob found there. Anodized mobs on clear days or Corroded mobs on rainy days.
On a side note, you can make it rain so that the Anodized elite mobs turn into Corroded normal mobs, you need to activate the Weather Alteration Machine
(coords 61, 62) using the item Exothermic Evaporator Coil dropped by Mr. Fixthis

They all have a chance to drop 3 items which you need to combine.
Quantities are as follows:
Hardened Spring x30
Tempered Plating x10
Machined Gear Assembly x5

The first time you do this quest items are bind on pickup and won't drop if you already have the specific amount of that item. So if you are not getting drops, check your bags or bank (credits to Illuminati, Kimera666 for this).

After you have collected everything, click on any of the stacks to combine them into a Bundle of Recyclable Parts. You'll be prompted with the quest Recyclable Parts that you turn in at any of the Recyclerizer DX-82 around the area

You'll get the item Recycling Requisition containting the final quest item Recycled Crawler Manifold. If you can't open the box it means you already have unique item in your bags from the bag (credits to Terzu for this).

After you do this quest, the Recyclerizer DX-82's repeteable quest will be unlocked for extra Recycling Requisition and 150 reputation with Rustbolt Resistance faction. The items will no longer be bind on pick up and won't stop dropping at the specific amounts and can also be sold and bought on the auction house (credits to Terzu for this)

I have a fraction of the items required and no more of them are dropping why?
Warning, if you place some of this items in your bank and then you collect the rest in your bags, you will not be able to combine them, even worst, if you already have the required number of items, no more items will drop, until you realize that you have to pick up the ones in your bank, so then you can combine them

This quest can be very confusing. I did not read the comment by Alferic carefully enough where it says "Once combined you'll be prompted with the quest Recyclable Parts ....". You have to click on one of the stacks of the items in your bag to assemble (or combine) into the Bundle of Recyclable Parts before it will progress the quest line. Seems obvious now but it wasn't so obvious at the time I was doing the initial quest.

A couple of notes, relative to some earlier comments. First of all, these items drop from both the corroded AND the anodized versions of the mobs in the Junkwatt Depot. Secondly, I have been able to consistently collect more than the required number of items to create the Bundle of Recyclable Parts before I created it, leaving the balance of the items in my bag. It should be noted that all the items were in my bag and none were in my bank, which may have been the reason for the problem some had reported.

So if you see cant loot go check Your bank or bag

Cant open your reward?
That means you already have a unique item in your inventory that is inside the box.

You'll be prompted with the new quest More Recycling you turn in at any of the Recyclerizer DX-82 in the area
Its Daily Get x150 reputation

Note:

After you complete This quest. items change and no more soul bound Now you can sell or buy in action house
in first note I say that you cant loot more than 30-10-5
If you farm more and see cant loot there after you done quest go to Your mail box get your material do your More Recycling or Sell your material in Action house

will give you Making the Mount wich is part of Mecha-Done

I have all the items needed to combine the item, but when i click any of them in my bag, it tells me that i have missing reagents?

I have:
30 Hardened spring
10 Tempered plating
5 Machine gear assembly

Note that i had most of the items in my bank when i picked up the quest.

Please Help!

This quest seems to be bugged for me. When i go to the marked area, none of the mobs drop the required items

Check your bags for 30 hardened springs, 10 tempered plating and 5 machined gear assemblies and combine to continue this quest. If the mobs there aren't dropping these, you already have them.

I did the reciamation rig event while working on this quest. I got a Strange Recycling Requisition for completing it. Once I opened it, i received the quest item but the quest was still incomplete. I guess you still have to actually collect all the parts.

Why are all the mobs grey? There are a lot of people working on this quest in the same spot as me. When someone else pulls the mobs they turn grey to me. I know this happens if an opposing faction pulls it but they're all the same faction as me. But I still can't loot anything because everything has been pulled before I get a chance to hit it first and it turns grey. I've been here an hour and with a dozen people hunting the same mobs it's hard to get the first hit in. Am I doing something wrong? Does this quest not allow you to work as a team? I can only loot the few things I get the first hit on.

How to complete Factory Refurbished:

1. go to /way 55,24, 59,38
2. kill any Mechanical mobs / elites for drop 30x Hardened Spring, 10x Tempered Plating and 5x Machined Gear Assembly
3. After you have collected everything, click on any of the stacks to combine them into a Bundle of Recyclable Parts
4. acept quest Recyclable Parts
5. go to /way 58,64, 59,18 and return Recyclable Parts
6. open Recycling Requisition in your bag for drop Recycled Crawler Manifold
7. go to /way 71,53, 38,56 and finish Factory Refurbished

Did anyone else lose all their components for these today? I logged in, had mail with "lost items" that were my components but it said the items didn't exist and now they're gone...

This is one of the worst quests I've ever done in this game. Not only do you need a lot of items, but every freaking thing is random. Sometimes you get a ton of springs, but no Assembly. Sometimes assemblies but no springs. Absolute garbage of a quest. On top of that, unless its raining or you kill the rare to make it rain, most of the enemies in the area are elites, or the annoying as all hell Sentries that lightning teleport to you the moment they aggro.

It's like they designed this area as "Hey you all want Classic right? Let's remind you what questing was like back then!"

It wasn't bad at all when I did it. There were lots of Alliance players and we all constantly pulled any new baddies into the middle and ground them down. Pick up loot as you go and quit when you get enough. Players constantly join and leave the pile, and the killing continues. Added bonus, three rare elites came through, one at a time, as we fought. They went down like the rest.

Just curious, why is everything that gives the quest items in here elite? Is this strictly for groups? The quest doesn't say it is. Is it strictly for raid geared players? The quest doesn't say it is. So, why is everything elite and either needs a group to kill or iLvL 410 plus? I'm an iLvL 412 Frost Mage and it's a struggle to get one mob killed. If I get an add, forget it. About 60% of the time I can kill the mob with me having close to 15% health. The other 40%, I die.

The Exothermic Evaporator Coil can also dropped by the non-elite Anodized Machinist and Anodized Troubleshooter. They swarm around the Weather Alternation Machine at /way 61 62
Those also drop the parts you need, so go ahead and kill them while waiting for the rare Mr Fixthis to spawn.
I got the rod on my alt from these guys before the rare even spawn.
After raining, you have to kill the elite Anodized mobs to spawn the non-elite Corroded mobs, but the elite should be killable now with the debuff.

You don't have to be in the middle. Just run around the area to get the parts.

Make sure you have room in your bag for the bundled parts, because when you combine and don't have the extra space, you lose the components and don't get the bundle, it is not mailed!

FYI, if you try to do this quest on a toon lower than lv 45, you're not able to. The Recycling Requisition requires level 45 to open.
