You need to be in a raid of 10-20 to queue for this.

The gear is technically PvP gear and is a higher ilvl than current stuff, it is extremely likely that this will only be queue-able in season 3 when the gear cap goes up again for all of PvP content. The quest seems to have been removed, making it even more likely that this is the case.

We did Heroic Warfront today on the first day of Season 3 and quest didn't update, looks like it's bugged! It counted only for normal version of the quest :'(

Edit 2: As of 1:15PM UTC 11 July people are still reporting not getting credit for quest even after GMs told them it was "hotfixed but you should try again to get quest reward" lol. Some people are getting it though so it's a hit or miss.
Edit 3: 4:20 UTC 11.07.2019 Rokhan came to us second time, we killed him before capturing all points, warfront ended, no quest progression.
Edit 4: Half an hour later I got credit for quest even though we captured only 3 points and killed Rokhan in our base when he came to us second time. Try abandoning quest and reaccepting again, maybe it helped me I have no idea. Super bugged.
Final edit: Blizzard mentioned it in hotfixes post from July 11 so it should be okay now (probably).

Does someone know wich pre quest you need to do to unlock the quest for the heroic warfront?
In 8.1 I was able to pick up the normal quests for both warfronts.

Completed the HC q today with no problem, I was warned i raid that having the normal q in log could mess up the hc q, so I abandoned it, Dunno if that was the problem before or its the fix, but it works now

so i don't know what we did, but just as we were grouping up to attack Valor Call Pass as alliance when Rokhan appeared, and he never hearthed, and we "won" the warfront and completed the quest for the 430 ilvl piece but also didn't get the achievement, not sure what caused this at all.

Two weeks ago I joined queue with two of my friends. We converted party to a raid, and we had done scenario successful. Today, there are 4 of us, and while trying to queue, there is information, that our group have not enough members. Am I missing some hotfix, or is this some bug?

To anyone that have a problem with getting the heroic warfront quest, i found the problem.

At the boat next to Halford Wyrmbane, there is an NPC ( night elf ) that have a quest " We are coming "

take that and you are ready to go

In case you are wondering about scaling in Shadowlands:

Did this with an Alliance raid party of 10 yesterday consisting of eight lvl60s, one lvl50 and one lvl52. TL;DR: It went surprisingly well and while I don't remember the finishing time, it felt like we were even faster than with a big raid during BfA!

Some notes:

- I spent most of my time gathering iron & wood, so I did not participate in much combat, but apart from the final boss the damage of enemies is really low and most of the time they even miss you completely (Kobold Frost Bolts in the mine just wooshed past me while I collected stuff lol)
- it would easily be doable with less than 10 people, but that is the minimum amount you need to queue up
- it was quite hard to get a group together, so if you are forming one, tell people you are aimaing for 10 people so they are more encouraged to stick around (lots of raised eyebrows in the LFM chat about why anyone would still search a group for thi... LOOK BUDDY I NEED THEM LIONS ON MY SHOULDERS AND WILL NOT LET THIS LITTLE ADDON GET BETWEEN ME AND THEM - so mind your own business of selling that surprising amount of ilvl190 epics you managed to find, alright)

We just did this with 10. 5 at 60 (close to 200ilevel each) and 5 around level 52. It was easy. The lower levels gathered at the beginning and the 60s capped.

If you're coming at this like me and wondering, "why can't I do warfront quests on my alt when I have them unlocked on my main?", I finally figured it out.

The requirements are
"Come Sail Away" kul tiran arrival achievement
The Heart of Azeroth in your possession (bank or wherever doesn't matter, you just have to do the quests with Magni)
Uniting Kul Tiras quest to unlock WQ

- If you can't see the portals and NPCs, you haven't finished Come Sail Away.
- If you can't pick up the Warfront Quests from Ralston Karn, you haven't unlocked the WQ
- If you can't pick up Uniting Kul Tiras on the boat to unlock the WQ, you haven't gotten your heart of azeroth yet.

FYI still requires 10 people for it to start (don't forget to cancel your group listing, or else you can not queue as raid leader)

Here is a quick macro for seeing if you have done any of the Alliance warfronts quests for the current Siege event (when Alliance can queue for Battle for Stromgarde). Handy when you can't remember which alts you've done the quests on:

If you're also going crazy because you were only able to get the quest once and not in the next reset, you need to complete the questline called 'On Whispered Winds,' which starts with the green bird on the ship. This questline also unlocks the 'Night Warrior' customization option, so it's totally worth it.
