Hard to find the quest giver here. His name is Narm and he is hiding in a cave. The entrance is at /way 28.47, 40.00 behind an old shipwreck. But watch out - an Elite Voidscale Trenchstalker patrols up and down in front of the entrance. The entrance is above a waterfall (clearly visible from /way 31.37, 40.83, see screenshot).

Don't leave the quest area! That's what's causing the targets to disappear. You don't need to collect an even number of crabs and creepers, just don't leave the quest zone. A bug I'm sure will be fixed soon.

Confirmed that if you get 7/8 Sandclaw Crab and phase out from seeing anymore, abandon the quest and pick it back up. Pick up only 4 Sandclaw Crabs and 4 Muck Creepers and you can turn in the quest.

The location is called Kelfin Pocket. Actual cave entrance is 28.38. There is a elite beast (Voidscale Trenchstalker) that paces in the river in front of the entrance. There is some pieces of a shipwreck that look like a broken fence to me. The cave entrance isnt behind the waterfall, it is off to the side on top of where the waterfall begins. Cave is behind broken fence. See screen shot.

This quest can actually miscount the number of friends you have captured. My UI was saying 8/8 when I'd only captured 7, so if you're unsure just try capturing some more. I didn't have to drop and retake the quest; just capped one more and it said "Ready for turn-in".

It might have been clashing with an earlier "Kill Crab" quest. I left the area as I could not see any crabs or slugs.

When I came back, I still could not see any targets, so I abandoned and got quest again.

This time again, I could see the crabs and slugs just Southeast of the cave. Took less than a minute to get them all (Mounted).

This quest bugs a lot, sometimes it doesn't count all the crabs you capture, and sometimes it doesn't show you the area where you need to do the quest...

As I see it, there are exactly 8 crabs to capture in the same area where the hydras are. I accidentally killed one. From there, I could only ever capture 7. No more, throughout the zone. Dropped the quest. Restarted and was able to capture all 8.

DO NOT accidentally kill one.

If you cannot find cave entrance -just like me- firstly go to
/way 30.45, 38.09 and then you can type the entrance of cave, /way 27.97, 40.94

Today WHILE MOUNTED AND FLYING, I targeted and threw a net over 8 highlighted crabs. (I'm a hunter, so I'm sure it will work with any class. You don't need to be a druid to do this quest mid-air.)

The animals you need to net are highlighted. If you fly out of the quest area before finishing and none of the same small critters are highlighted, you'll need to abandon and re-accept the quest. It takes just a couple minutes to complete if you have flying, so don't get sad if you have to start over!

Had a few issues that I solved. Clicking the icon on the quest list wasn't working so I put the item on my actionbar and that solved that.
You _CAN_ click the actionbar when flying and it does work!
the creepers were down in the wash near 40,42, the crabs up above them to the west

I used a macro to help locate them :
/tar muck creeper;
/script SetRaidTarget("target",8);
/cast Shadow Word: Pain

In 8.2.5 the in-game map highlights almost the entire Nazjatar zone for this quest but the capturable "friends" are only in specific spots. The random crab, snails, and another non-aggressive mobs usually don't count as "friends".

I found all the "friends" for this quest close together near /way 28.47, 40.00. I'm not sure if there are other spots that have them.

What you need to do for this quest:

1. Find the NPC called Narm (the quest-giver); he is a giant inside a cave, the entrance of which is at 28.47, 40.00 (Thank you, Melandroso!)

2. The critters you need to capture are NOT the ones you see inside the cave! Rather, they are found outside the cave, all over Nazjatar (if you look at your map, you will find that all of Nazjatar is highlighted).I was able to find them all in the general area near the cave though, but it probably depends on how many people are doing the quest at the same time.

3. You will see many slugs and crabs, but the ones that you need (muck creepers and sandclaw crabs) will have their name shown in yellow (as opposed to not shown at all).

4. You don't need four of one and four of the other; rather, in my experience it doesn't matter how many of your eight are muck creepers and how many are sandclaw crabs - you just need eight total.

5. This quest is infamously buggy, and I'm not sure if the bugs have been fixed yet.

Looking SW, you can see cave entrance, but, beware the patrolling Voidscale Trenchstalker.

From here peek down right side of cavern and you can SEE Narm.

In 9.0.1 the quest seems to be bugging.

Had to complete it twice before I was able to turn it in. First time I captured 8/8 friends and the quest in the quest log said "completed" but I couldn't turn it in after /reload ui and even after relog.

Narm had a grey question mark icon and I couldn't capture more friends.

Description
