It seems that you have to find every relic available. There are ten of them and they don't seem to respawn.

Not too bad once you know what you are looking for - small statuettes - and the collonades have several.

They're extremely sparse. Expect ~15 minutes just running around doing nothing but waiting for respawns and losing sanity.

EDIT: Respawns have been changed. I've consistently done this quest in a single round for the last couple of days. Items still shared with players, so avoid if you're playing at prime time.

The relics you're looking for are small, off-white statuettes of an elf in a gown holding a basin. They're about the size and shape of the keystone pedestals used to start a M+ key in dungeons, maybe a little smaller.

Found a nice cluster of 3-4 relics in the cloister on the west end. Toggling off the interface (Alt+Z) makes them much more noticeable.

The Highborne Relics don't drop from the naga - they are small transparent sparkling statues found inside ruins in the quest area, outside in tall grass or at the edge of open areas. (See screen shots.)

Start by entering the round building next to quest giver Shirelle McFadden. There is a large statue and a small Highborne Relic on the floor. Go down the curved stairs to find another. Go back up the stairs and out the door you entered. Straight across the road is a staircase that leads to an arcade that contains several Highborne Relics. There are ghosts of the nightborne walking the arcade, but no hostiles. Cross a bridge that connects to to another arcade and collect more Highborne Relics. At this point you should have 9/10. From the arcade, look out across the ground (or fly out) and locate a large curving free-form sculpture. There is a Highborne Relic near the base and another nearby.

Other Highborne Relics are found along the edge of a round open air terrace guarded by a few naga.

I wouldn't say theyre sparse, but the respawn time is slow. If others are in the area, expect 15 minutes. I was alone and did this in a few minutes

they can be found around the ghostly 'highborne citizens'. i've found one in the middle of each cluster.

Because of my time zone, I usually use Stinky Bright Potion when I play so I am not playing in the dark. But tonight I didn't have any, and I discovered that the relics are a hell of a lot easier to see if it's not day time in game. If you play in game daylight a Inky Black Potion or the Shadescale toy which has an 11% drop from Shassera might be your friend.

Editing to add that today I had a stinky bright potion still active from last time I was on, picked up this quest and then used my Shadescale toy which overwrote the potion, and when I was finished this quest I clicked the shadescale buff off which put me back in daylight for the remainder of my potion.

The quest is started by Shirelle McFadden at 78.8 42.6.

If she isn't there, chances are, the Horde have killed her, since she is right next to their waypoint. Please don't ask me why that is.

Description

It's not every day that you encounter the remnants of a lost civilization beneath the ocean! I never would have imagined that I'd have the opportunity to explore the lost city of Nazjatar... and on solid ground at that! There are many secrets here to uncover. If you come across any ancient highborne artifacts, please bring them to me. These relics could provide us with valuable clues regarding the mysteries of the Great Sundering. I feel as though we are barely scratching the surface so far...
