I had to abandon and reacquire this quest several times for all the parts to work correctly.

After you speak with the quest giver, wait a few moments before interacting with the items. You will learn the recipe for the drums and then pick up the items and craft them. That is what fixed it for me.

If you end up NOT being able to interact with the glowing items after Daniss starts his ritual, abandon the quest and before you pick it back up, run away from the area. I ran up to the Turtle where the weekly quests are handed out to make sure the ritual was not in my memory.
After that, go back to Daniss Ghostdancer and reacquire the quest and it should work.

From Skelnick on the Alliance side of this quest: If the quest is bugged for you, abandon it, dismount, then pick up the quest again.

If this works for you, please give him the love bump here, all I did was copy & paste.

I just figured out that if you are in an instance group, the objects cannot be interacted with.
So, leave group, then try again.

ftr, I abandoned, ran up to Little Tortolla and then back to quest giver.
Dismounted.
Accepted Quest.
Continued with quest sequence.

You need to open your leatherworking to craft the 6 Drums of Primal Might, after picking up the crafting items on the ground.

For those who, like me, first wasted five or ten panicked minutes looking through their leathworking recipes, then through wowhead trying to figure out how to get the recipe to make these drums:

1. The recipe will be added to your crafting as a "training" items immediately after you tell the questgiver to "start the ritual."
2. Once the recipe has been added, the materials you have gathered will be clickable and usable.
3. The "ritual" essentially consists of you making the 6 drums while Daniss calls to Elune.
4. When the quest is complete, the recipe will disappear from your crafting list.

I can't get this quest to work at all.

All AddOns are disabled...

I'm not mounted...

I'm not grouped...

Full client exit...

Battle.Net exit...

Restart PC and launch again...

The recipe for is nowhere to be found in my profession window.

Search doesn't find it.

There is no "Training" category.

Broken...

Much sadness...

If this shows up the "You have learned how to create a new item" dialog but you cannot find it on your character, then go back and learn Legion leatherworking and open leatherworking and you will find how to create a "Drum of Primal Might" there, despite it being a BFA craftable

Description

We have everything we need to craft the drum, except the Earth Mother's blessing. The drum is but a vessel, like a cup. We need her to imbue the drum with power, filling the cup so that we may drink. It will not be easy to convince her to assist us in creating a weapon of war, but I will implore her to protect her children. While I'm doing that, you will need to craft the drum itself. Not too big, though. The larger the vessel, the more power it can hold, but the harder it becomes to carry.
