This one really had me going. After you get the quest you kill bots. I found the best place FOR HORDE was in Prospectus Bay around 73,20. After you kill them you use the re-animator button; the bots will turn yellow. You need to bring them back to the quest giver at 63,39. They're on a timer so you have to hurry. You can't mount right away but once you can I suggest you do.
I set a waypoint every time for 63,39 because the mini-map occasionally bugged out and didn't show the 'circle.'

You have to KILL the robots that are running around, not search for unactive ones.

Make sure you loot the bots for Spare Parts before Re-Energizing them. You cannot loot after.

Mechanized scraphounds and the rusty scrap bots both count towards this. They are running all around near the quest giver just outside the gates. MUCH faster than going after the ones down at Prospectus Bay.

Better rush back. Don't collect them. I had half of them die again on me before I turned them in.

The best way I found to do this was to kill the Scraphounds around the quest giver (63,39). These mobs need to be killed, then you use the quest item to reanimate them. If you're able to and have it accessible, get the jetpack. You can jetpack back to the quest giver and saves a ridiculous amount of time. The Scraphounds are on a timer, so be quick or they'll disappear.

Struggled to see these so I typed "/target rusty" then right click and added Target marker icon to find them

Keep in mind you don’t have to kill the bots yourself in order to use the re-energizer. If someone, even a horde, kills a bot and leaves it you can just use the re-energizer on that corpse and claim it at the check point

IMPORTANT: If you happen to abandon the quest, wait a good while and you can pick it up again. In the meantime, you can use the bot re-energizer to resurrect bots to fight for you.

Honestly you do not have to kill any bots, the bots you need are lying around the whole of Bodo's place. This seems to be a cleanup quest, so you can find rusty scrapbots, rusty pestbots etc. These mechanicals spawn **already dead**.

You will have to look carefully at first (they are greyed out little corpses on the ground) but you will start to recognize them fairly quickly. A few spawnpoints are:

/way 62.93 37.56
/way 62.03 36.80
/way 62.53 35.76

These are also very close to the turn in circle.

if you see "gears" on the ground that is a place where they can spawn. When you use the remote on one of those corpses, these "gears" are left behind. Of course scraphounds and all count, but if they're not up, you should be looking for the ones that are already dead.

not sure if anyone else noticed.

the dead bots laying around can be reanimated for this quest :) I discovered by accident killing a mob next to 2 Rusty Scrapbot and boom had three, If you look around quite a few Rusty Scrapbot around the quest giver.

This quest was designed to make you not want to play the game anymore.
1. You have to bring back a dozen bots, when the zone is anywhere near active you'll usually be able to get one at a time.
2. Your quest item has a short range, and can only get up 3 bots at max. Usually you will have to return with one or two, as the effect only lasts for one minute.
3. If you try to use the item twice before returning, you're likely to lose the bots you already got, as the CD is at a neat 25 sec CD.

Edit: As an added bonus, "Bots" doesn't mean bots. It means a specific, limited selection of bots, and there is no mob quest-marking to distinguish valid bots.

To avoid the timer, I aggro'd a few to the guess giver, killed them, looted and used then use the Re-energizer.

If you were able to see the Extra Action Button at one point and it later disappears, use /reload to reload your UI - that usually fixes the issue.

I find the cooldown on the re-energizer to be too long. It should be 10 seconds at most.

Description

Chopping up bots is my business. Any bots you bring to my scrapper will be broken up into useful parts. It's a win for both of us! Use the Bot-Energizer to bring me dead bots, and we'll break them into spare parts.
